- "Mantiq ul-Tair" or "The Conference of the Birds" is one of the most celebrated works of Persian Sufi literature, written by Hazrat Fariduddin Attar (R.A.). Wadi-e-Ishq (Valley of Love): In this valley, love becomes the dominant force, burning away all that is irrelevant, so that only the soul's deep connection to God remains.
Wadi-e-Ma'rifat (Valley of Knowledge): The Valley of Knowledge is where the soul begins to gain insight into the deeper truths of existence. Here, one begins to realize the transient nature of the world and how divine knowledge leads to self-realization.
Wadi-e-Istighna (Valley of Detachment): The soul learns to let go of material desires and distractions, becoming detached from worldly concerns.
Wadi-e-Tauhid (Valley of Unity): The birds, or seekers, begin to understand that all existence is unified in the essence of God.
Wadi-e-Hayrat (Valley of Bewilderment): In this valley, the soul is bewildered by the majesty and complexity of divine truth, realizing that full comprehension of God is beyond human capacity.
Wadi-e-Fana (Valley of Annihilation): The final stage is where the soul experiences complete annihilation of the self (ego) and merges with the Divine, symbolizing ultimate union with God.
