apart from his rap skills, mino is top-notch in lyricism-and not just wordplay that some people think makes up good songwriting, although he does that too. his verses in some songs he featured in were widely acclaimed and spawned different interpretations of its meanings. i love google translating some korean comments i see, although some of his lyrics are impossible to properly translate into english. apart from his most popular songs like fear, fiancee, and okey dokey, my favorites are the door, moneyflow, machine gun (where his rapping was like the sound of a machine gun), and rocket. more recently, it was his verse in winner's cover of bigbang's still life that even t.o.p liked enough to post on his ig stories (which rarely happens). he was able to show his deep respect and reverence for bigbang while also talking about what they went through from the perspective of someone who witnessed it all firsthand. that verse had a line where the korean comments i saw think is a reference the big crunch theory, which is the opposite of the big bang, where the universe contracts to a small dot in order to possibly make way for another big bang. it's probably not what he intended but the way people can interpret them differently shows how good he is.
