      There is some kind of point in this. Like, what will happen if people will experiment with their gender expression freely? First, the cis people who experiment like that will have an additional breath of freedom. Second, the nb people will become visible. And third, the binary trans-people will become visible. And both nb and binary trans-people will come to their gender realization more freely and easily. And maaaaybe cis people will make their lifes less discomforting. I'm genderfluid and I like music, anime/manga, video games, and alternative fashion/makeup. These are hobbies anybody can enjoy, not a specific gender. I am also AFAB and like to dress in more feminine styles compared to masculine or androgynous ones. Does this make me a cis woman or not a "real" nonbinary person? No, it doesn't. Being nonbinary is very flexible and you can be yourself without being put into a box that society wants you to be in. I want to add 2 requests to binary people:
    - Yes, use google and the internet if you have questions but please always listen to the answers of non-binary people (or people from any other group that you're interested in) and not just outside sources! Asking anyone directly is also always okay if you do it with respect and without ill intent, and please also accept if they don't want to talk about a topic or about themselves in some ways. I'll claim 99% of the time you'll be answered with respect and compassion.
    - There are non-binary (among others) people who will tell you things like, "Yeah, I use they/them but I'm not that serious about it, so use any pronouns!" Often people will tell you that for many reasons like not wanting to upset people or to not sound demanding, but will be bothered by misgendering or similar things, so if you know that someone prefers any set of pronouns or isn't comfortable being addressed in a certain way (like being NB and not wanting to be addressed in a way that is really gender specific, like saying "You're a nice dude, man!"), please give them the respect of using or not using something they are or aren't comfortable with!

      The purpose of your journey is not to "fix" yourself to better conform to a descriptive label. The purpose of your journey is to become more comfortable in your own skin, so that you don't have to waste all your energy 'passing' (already uncomfortable) as someone you don't feel comfortable with in the first place.
      It is not actually relevant how other people's journeys unfold. There are cis enbys, there are trans enbys (hello!👋🏾 that's me!), and there are enbys who just do what they do and would prefer not to be labelled at all. This is what Lynn means when they say "There is no right/one way to be non-binary." If you know that ,that label resonates with you, _then _*_whateve r you do is non-binary_* , no matter what gatekeepers have to say about it.
      As to being trans, technically as an enby you are (because your gender does not align with your gender assigned at birth), but *sex and gender are not the same* , so if you're for the most part OK with the sex you were assigned at birth, you are not "required" to change it to be "trans enough" -- nor are you required to label yourself as trans _even if you want to change your body to some degree_ . Your journey is *yours* , for *your* reasons, and all that matters is that you're satisfied, not that others understand/agree with your labels (or lack thereof). (Except, of course for the hoops you have to jump through to satisfy various interests if you want to medically transition, but that's a whole different discussion.)
      Have fun discovering yourself💛💛😀🎆 !

    • @ramen8285
      @ramen8285 5 месяцев назад +6

      Transgender just means you don't identify with your assigned birth gender, and non-binary is an umbrella term which falls under transgender. You can identify as both transgender and non-binary, or just non-binary, or just transgender. Make the labels fit you, but don't try to make yourself fit the labels. Also, terms such as "transmasculine" and "transfeminine" exist, which you can probably guess their meanings. You can use these labels to help you and people around you to understand you more.
