- In this video, I will discuss briefly how to hide the knots on your crochet braids. This tutorial will give you some insight into how to create the perfect part for this style.
This is my first youtube video, so please forgive me. I think during the video I stepped away to get a brush. :) This is a protective style. I hope you like it.
Materials used:
Crochet needle
2 packs of xpression hair (color # 1)

Have been thinking about doing this style for an event I have next month but was discouraged by the obvious knots by my selected part. Im so so so happy for this solution. It looks way more natural and I am convinced that I will be crocheting my hair :)

The best invisible crochet
Thanks!
You have a new subbie! loved your vid, thank you for the all of the great details and tips! You did great for your first video, im looking forward to more
This helped me alot! I just did my first set of crochet braids, using the same kanekalon hair, (xpressions) and it came out Ok. im getting compliments however after watching your vid, I noticed my knots are too big , so i used wayy to much hair. My side part is too wide so it looks very unnatural. Im going to try again this weekend tho
I would really like to see how your curls came out
They didn't come out the way I liked them. If i do a new install, I will see if I can do a video on the curls.
It looks great
Thank you for watching.
nice video
great tips
Thank you, Hun!
I love this video! You did a great job for your first install! How do you plan to style the crochet braids when your hair starts to grow out? I'm natural that's the only fear I have about installing straight hair. Also what products do you use that hold a good curl? Thanks! You're awesome!
I am natural also so it is looking good so far, but an idea I thought about was creating two braids that can easily be taken out or redone if my hair does grow out. It's been in for almost a month a still looks good, but I am ready for something new! Happy crocheting!
Its very neat
E clarke Thank you!
And I know this might sound soooo weird but have some AWESOOOME full lips girl! XD
Aww thank you girl! :) I'm blushing lol!
This video was awesome but my question is... How was the removal process??? Was it harder because of the added knots???
Girl!!! I just took them out and I will say this: DO NOT CUT THESE SHORT TRYING TO TAKE THESE OUT. I will recommend you leave the hair long and find the knot and carefully cut the knot and remove. I did the mistake of cutting the hair close the knot and had almost a panic attack trying to take them out. I used a tail comb and removed it that way. Like I said before, leave hair long and use small scissors to find the knot and cut.
In addition, I hope I conveyed this in the video. You only need to do the invisible part method for your part and sides. You can utilize the typical ( loop and twist 2-3 times) method of crochet for the rest of your hair. Ok, I will stop blabbing. Hope this helps!
Please show braid pattern next time/video and best invisible crochet I've seen :-)
I definitely will.
very helpful!!
+Cecesingsonpitch Thank you!
I was your comment about not looking you build that you did on the crochet braids but van you still do a video. Like a trial and error or what not to do it do better next time?
I will try. Not sure when I will come out with the video, but I will give it a go.
Can you do a detailed video of how you space the hair when you install these again? Thank you! I love it and I want my hair to turn out the same as yours.
abneyk1 Sure! If I am able to install it again. I will!
KultureAfricaGal are you located in NY? Do you have an instagram I can follow?
KultureAfricaGal there are so many xpression hair, I love this style and the texture. very hard to find. trying to be like you girl! lol
+abneyk1 Yes, My instagram is MsAdwoa; however, it is not devoted to just hair!
thanks I luv this hair
+mary deb Me too!!
Hey how long did you keep this do for?
Beautiful btw!
4- 6 weeks Thank you for watching.
Awesome!
+abneyk1 Thx
You did a great job! How long did it take?
It actually too way longer than it should have. It took 8 hours ( I believe) but that's cause I stopped & started because I was getting used to the technique and I used a lot of braids. Now I'm guessing 2-4 hours. Glad you liked it.
You have very pretty skin
Thank you!!
Great video! 💜 How did you end up styling your hair?
Hey girl, in all honesty I did nothing! I just left it straight
Wow, I'm amazed that it stayed straight, looks amazing!
very cool
Thanks
luv ur hair howlong did it take u? and you did a great job for ur first video
Thank you for your reply. Sorry about the late reply. I had trouble signing in to reply to messages. It took me approximately 7-8 hours. I know that's a lot. Now this is not how long it should normally take. I did much smaller braids and added a lot of hair in the back. A lot of trial and error. I envision that it will take me 4 hours to do the next time around. I actually opted to leave the hair out and not curl it. It didn't turn out how I like it, but with it being straight as I have it in the video; It looks very natural. Thanks again~KAG
KultureAfricaGal you did a great job.
since i have to have my hair up for my job, can use this method on my front and back to cover up the braids there?
My thought is absolutely! I actually redid one of one sides to see if it would work and it did. I don't see why it wouldn't work for the back. You would just have to figure out the proper braid pattern for that. Good luck!
cool! thank you so much :D
hi do u think this method will be good for a wig...great job by the way
+Christian Villa I think it would. Great idea! Maybe I can try think of that idea for an upcoming video.
With this style are you able to style different ways or do you have to wear it the same way daily?
+stone5324 No, you can change it up. You can use the hotwater method to curl or recurl the hair.
i like xpression hair but how do you get a smoother texture with it cause off bat it has kinky wavey texture
In all honesty, the slight wave in the hair is what makes it so realistic. I may have blow dried it a tad bit, not to straighten it but get rid of the curl I put in it because of a prior curl rod attempt, but straight out the bag it doesn't look much different then what I installed. I hope that helped!
Where are you located and do you do other people hair?
Hi Patrice,
I do style/braid other peoples hair. Please feel free to me email at KultureAfrica@gmail.com to see if I am located near you.
Try knotting the loop on top. Totally hides the knot. Once you do the loop separate the two strands and knot them one going to the back and one toward the front on top of the braid. No more knots. Use small amounts of damp hair. The knot hold better. Enjoy
What hair did u use
xpression hair. Thank you for watching.
Where u from and do u do other people hair
Hey! Please feel free to email me at kultureafrica@gmail.com. Talk to you soon!
how long does this last ?
It can last for up to a month, but because of the invisible part the last week might be pushing it. But again it depends on how fast your hair grows.
is this color 1 or 2
Thank you for watching.
this video is not working...???
Not sure why?
