To overcome the damage of an abusive father is unfortunately not as simple as simply recognise it mentally because it sits deep in the emotions and requires really strong discipline not allowing it to affect one.
@@tristanmullins7092 if for God it was simple, then his son wouldn’t have needed to die for mankind. To redeem mankind has cost God everything, and to reach into the deepest chambers of our hearts is a process where even someone like Paul had to do much travail. A miracle is instantaneous and God does do them for His glory but faith demands discipline to renew our minds. In our mind choices are made and to resist emotional pressure caused by severe hurt is linked with the ability to forgive and this can be a process where we as brothers and sisters need to help those that were abused with intercession and counsel until the chains are broken and they are fully birthed through. Just to tell them to let go of hurt won’t help them but can make matters worse.
