OMG you are so my kind of nuts - walking the dogs in snow time - singing while dipping - totally able to happily tune in & turn on to learning with your vids - Thanks!
Great tutorial, Matt! Can’t wait for the Covid to pass and we can get out there. I want to come and visit the store when u r ready. Hope all is well!!!
Matt, another cool way to get color effects on Copper is by flashing them with a torch. Just wave that flame back and forth across your piece until you see an effect you like. Then finish it, as you did, with an acrylic spray sealant. 👍🏻
WOW! Totally impressed! Beautiful work Matt! I would so wear these. I would... even w/out the beads, even w/out patina... I would wear them with a fox, I would wear them in a box. I would wear them going to town, inside a box... inside, outside, upside down!! Sorry... love ya Matt🤗
Thank you! To the keyboard warriors.. these videos are to spark your imagination so you create beautiful jewelry. If he misspoke- remember that his time is valuable also and humans are not perfect. Is it really worth the negativity? Nope. 💕
Matt that last step, in the copper patina process, was baking SODA, not baking powder.🤗 Thanks for all the excellent projects, and inspiration!. You ROCK!
Cool! I had used Liver of Sulphur before, some years ago in a workshop type situation. Then I had a project that I thought Lover of Sulphur would be an excellent way to patina it. Except I FORGOT how STINKY Liver of Sulphur is! Wooo-wee, stunk my whole house up! I do love the effects you can get with Liver of Sulphur, but I'm not going to use it in the house where I live again! Outside, or in the studio 👍🏻
You posted this as I was getting ready to shut everything down and go to bed. Didn't watch more than a minute of the video, but these are lovely earrings.
Great video. Safety warning from the interwebs: Liver of sulfur, also known as potassium sulfide or potassium polysulfide, is a chemical compound that is commonly used in metalworking to create a patina or darkening effect on metals like silver or copper. The name "liver of sulfur" comes from its original use as a medicine in ancient times, where it was believed to treat liver ailments due to its dark brown color resembling that of liver tissue. However, liver of sulfur is toxic and should be used with caution in a well-ventilated area while wearing protective gloves and eyewear.
Hi Matt, when using liver of sulfur you need to use copper, bamboo or plastic tweezers to put your piece in and pull it out. After using the tweezers they need to be designated for only this purpose. If you do not you cannot reuse the liver of sulfur again.
Awesome....Would be fun to make an earring out of a hammered bottle cap with beads. And why stop there....hmmm Could look around and use other metal items. It would be like recycling. =)
Matt, I love you. I am a huge fan and have learned so much. I adore your wit, and sense of humor. I need to get In touch. I never received my order. I messaged you on Etsy. I can’t seem to reach you. I know for a fact, hundreds of people have received your beautiful crystals and that was some sort of mistake. We need to work out. ❤️
Love your tutorials Matt. These earrings are super cool and the vid is so clear and easy to follow. I appreciate how you explain the disposal for the sulphur too. Fab. Do you sell your jewellery online?

Your Filing is FINE!!
Those are beautiful!
Nice work! Very informative. Thanks
You can put the LOS in the baking soda solution to neutralize it. Use 0000 grit steel wool for burnishing, too.
Cool!

Bamboo sounds awfully huge to hold a tiny piece of jewelry
They’re like cute little Doritos earrings 🤗
Beautiful.
Ty ❤
Would love to see a round domed pair 😊
Them’s purdy!😍

Use Elmer's 1 to1 with water to help hold your glass pieces before firing
Oooooo I really love those soooo much.
That's super cool!

Do you sell your jewellery online?
Yes www.etsy.com/shop/mattscrazyartshop
@@MattsCrazyArt thanks Matt, shop looks great :D
This technique on a piece of copper cut in the shape of an arrowhead might look awesome. Can you try it for us?
If I ever cut copper again maybe
Oh no… Every time I watch you do something new I end up on Amazon lol
Steel wool works best
Awesome so pretty
There were no sheep at the steel store today
Baking powder, or soda?
ummm, that was baking soda, not baking powder but nice
Its baking soda, not baking powder. Just in case someone didn’t catch that.
Pretty but you need to use Steel Wool # 00, not a sandpaper
There were no more steel sheep at the steel store
@@MattsCrazyArt Huh? It was just a recommendation out of my experience. No Offence was meant.
Angelina, of course. But they seriously ran out of sheep at the steel store
@@MattsCrazyArt I suppose you could have gone for Alpaca instead?
Your Etsy doesn't ship to Canada. Pity!
Try something using reticulation in your next video.
Por favor dime el nombre de cada dolucion

I started to. I should again.
No metal for me !
You're using baking SODA, not baking powder. There's a difference.
Yeah, I think I used the right one but called it the wrong name
