We would have won back to back Cups in St Louis if not for Covid. We fired Berube not because he is a bad coach . Everyone From the owner to General Manager & most of the players still Love him. Our Stanley Cup window just closed. He cannot take young players & develop a cup team. But he will let you know where the problems lie. You have enough talent in Toronto but it will take a few changes that Berube wants. Get ready to play heavy & Forecheck but most importantly you have to Backcheck. No skating around waiting for the Puck, You have to take it. Good luck Toronto. Berube will Never Ever be forgotten here in St Louis. Cant wait until you come to town. It will be one of longest Standing Ovations ever Heard.
The only thing that will change this team is dumping the core 4 and using the massive cap to get a goalie, some gritty fast skating D and some big hard hitting fast forwards.

I’ll believe it when I see Berube dispatch Matthews, Nylander and Tavares to the press box for a few games just like Torts did to Captain Sean Courturier.

If you have difficulty as to why Leafs don’t produce a strong product in the playoffs just watch the highlights last nights game 6 between Boston and Florida. Every single player played with heart and soul and hunger for possession of the puck.
This is what the Leafs need, i think its a good hire, i hope Treliving is going back up his coach if some of the 'stars' complain, because Chief is going to destroy the country club atmosphere that surrounds the team.

Show me a Great Coach and I’ll show you a Great Goalie(Binnington). Then top top it off, you have Pietrangelo, and Boumeester. If there’s No Binnington the Blues don’t make the playoffs in 2019. Do the Leafs have a Binnington type goalie? Not even close. Do they have a Pietrangelo or Boumeester? Not even close. So how many years will it take to get those type of players?

Huge mistake on signing Berube. Boudreau is the best handler of players, and that's what's needed. Craig will be a bust as players will not put out for him. Just my feeling!!

Lmfao....this does nothing for the leafs. The problem starts at the top. Shanahan needs to go. So does treliving. Coach will never surpass 46 wins and will have the same results in the playoffs. The leafs gm, is the former Arizona gm. The guy who let Blake wheeler walk, the guy who got crap for Kyle turris. His drafting history with the team is rather a disgrace. His dealings with players was horrible. His time in Calgary wasn't any better. After signing a #1 goalie he shipped out a franchise player and stripped the team of its top talent. This is what the leafs have as their gm and a president who has his hands in the gm cookie jar. This is the beginning of the end of the mathews era.
If Marner is run out of town, if I were Austin, I would demand a trade!
