@@charlieandthechocfactrules9186 There's no proof of that EVER happening. A VCR can fail attempting to playback a legitimate tape just as much as a pirated tape. The whole thing reminds me of the KTC copy protection "warning". Copying tapes doesn't harm VCRs. Neither does playing back copied tapes. At most, you'll get a distorted picture on a copied tape thanks to Macrovision, but that can also be defeated by copying with the right equipment.
