When I was in second grade nobody told me how to write the symbol for multiplication. So I just drew a clock to symbolize “times” and hoped people got what I meant.

Some people do hear the long e in the theme song. It's one of those things that's close enough you can hear it different ways, especially if you already were accustomed to a certain pronunciation (see also: "melee" in the SSBM intro).

My grandmother and mom both add an "s" to the end of the names of stores a lot, like Kmarts and Walmarts. It kind of makes sense, in a way, because I guess it stems from the name of the store being treated like it's the name of the person who owns it, like as if the store's full name was "Walmart's store". I don't know, maybe it's a New England thing, but what I do know is that I've made sure not to accidently inherit it when I was growing up lol I'd get made fun of quite a bit if I did end up doing that
