As a 2021 BMW X5M Competition package owner, I agree with everything you are saying. I hate the large wheel gap, but plan on installing lowering springs too. The Bowers sound system is by far the greatest I’ve heard in any car ever, it’s my 2nd favorite part about my car, behind the insane fast 0-60. In M2 mode, maxed out mode my son calls it, it’s a rocket. I live right off a highway with street lights inbetween the exits, and I love smoking Camaros, Mustangs, and other sports cars off the line! I literally just figured out on the shifter the up & down button changes your redline or transmission shifting to higher RPMs too if you’re driving in auto shift without the paddles. Such a sick car, I wrapped mine in light grey and powder coated the rims matte black with 20% tint all around.
The major downside are the tires. I bought my BMW about a year ago with 19k miles, and hit a huge chunk of cement in the freeway and popped two tires. So I had to replace all four per BMWs recommended even though they undamaged tires were brand new almost. And once I hit 29k miles had to replace them again. Tires only last 10-15k miles tops. If you’re running all seasons or longer lasting tires on your BMW let me know what you recommend. I drive a decent amount for work and can understand the 11-14MPG (I like driving it fast) but replacing tires at $2800 (with mount, balance and alignment) every year is crazy expensive. But the sport tires they recommend are insanely grippy and make taking corners fun.

Good to see you back man! I can completely attest to BMW SUV's handling way better than they should. I have an X3M Comp that you can huck into corners and it just sticks. They are doing everything right in their market segments with these. Can't wait to see the TRX!

I've owned a 2022 for more than a year. Couldn't agree more: Outstanding sleeper car. My favorite car of all time, and that includes two Supra Turbos, Porsche slantwise turbo, Corvette Zr1 (2011,) Camaro ZL1 (2017,) 2005 Porsche twin turbo cabriolet, M3 and M5. All those cars were fine, indeed, but the X5 M? One of a kind.

Hey man sick Vid! I have a X6m which I love, absolute beast. & a big difference I found to improve the ride was to remove those ridiculous run flats they come with standard that improves the ride so much and also make sure the tire profile is at least 35 not 30 that also helps with bump absorption.
How much more is it for the competition ?
If you really had X6M you would have never removed run flats
I am going to remove mine on my 50e after they go bad and put non run flats too...Since they come free, i might as well use them

12mm hub centric wheel spacers all round & Mss height adjustable springs transforms looks & ride quality are a absolute must for a X5m !

Did same move- Tesla to X5m and loving it. Nailed it in the performance stats 5:10 mark- the mid range just pulls on stock Urus all day as a white Urus in Chicagoland had to find out.
