If the guy in the second story knew what the bear meant, the SHE dodged a bullet and he is a terrible person. But if he didn't know what the bear meant to her, she really overreacted!
It had a recording of her grandmother voice in it, he knew. There is no way he didn't hear that living together. She literally went into detail about how she would talk to it.
I'm not one to make excuses for women acting crazy and abusive to their boyfriend, but OP in story 2 is most definitely not one of those women. He initiated the conflict 100%. She responded in kind.
