I don't think you bit your lips. It looks like they hit you inadvertently when you were being intubated. the mouth and throat soreness is from being preying your mouth open to be intubated. Your thighs are hurting because you were probably placed in the lithotomy position. I'm a recovery room nurse and recover patients like you all the time. a heating pad over the belly and taking Tylenol and ibuprofen around the clock for the 1st/2nd day is the best if you don't want to take narcotics.
That makes more sense to me as I obviously don’t remember biting my lip and was under anesthesia. Wouldn’t they need to hit me with some force while intubating to cause a busted lip 😨? I thought they would be more gentle… That makes me wonder what else they did “wrong”. Thank you for all the explanations and tips 🙂🌸!
