19:30, Thank you Satya for capturing this deep gorge at the Mid ghat railway station. I was travelling by Pushpak express a few days ago and shot this but held the camera inappropriately and therefore couldn't get a good view. This is one of my most favorite view that I seek to relish each time I pass through on this route. Sadly, one could only view this going from Bhopal to Itarsi; the other track (and now there is a 3rd line too) is a bit off by some distance.
Punjab Mail used to run between Peshawar & Bombay. Now it runs between Mumbai CSMT & Ferozepur Cantt in Punjab. Legendary Train ❤️😁 140+ years old
I think name was Frontier Mail ,
between Mumbai to Ferozpur .
@Syed mushtaq Hussain no that was a different train running special mail services. Punjab Mail was known as The Northern Express earlier.
Then where Frontier mail train was playing between station?

Punjab Mail is oldest. Running continuously between Peshawar and Bombay. Now after Partition ,It runs between Ferozepur Cantt. And CSMT.

Trouble in our country is everyone wants better facility, food , affordability etc...but dont want to fight for it. Nowadays its easy to report online . As you said bhai solution will not come in a day but we got to keep complaining for better railway...affordable and adorable railways...jay hind

Even I tweet any problem I face (even complained to NATIONAL CONSUMER FORUM once) which is in public domain plus it will be there forever for everyone to see. Also wrtiting genuine reviews on google maps and feedback for other services is also important for all to choose the right thing.

I used to travel in this train (N-Delhi - Nagpur) , during it's ICF days. In those days it used to leave Delhi at 6:40 p.m. Catering, cleanliness is fantastic. But, it is a very slow one, because it stops at almost all the stations.
Veg. Cutlets, Idli-Sambhar-Vada are my favourite, on this train as well (Tamil Nadu Exp., Madurai Exp., A.P. Exp. and Bangalore Rajdhani, all have it on their menus.
Satya bhai, I am liking your "critical appreciation" avtaar. As a matter of fact, it indeed shall be very helpful in bettering Indian Railways.

Thank you, this brought back memories of my childhood travel in May 1977 from Nagpur to New Delhi. If memory serves me right then the train was painted blue with red windows, same went for the engine.

Please continue giving your honest review on the food and service and cleanliness of the railways and stations and also the railway track most of which is an eyesore and quite shameful. Many times traveled in G T mail between Chennai to New Delhi.
In 1970's only 2 trains were playing to south India . One was GT mail & another was Dakshin Exp / Southern Exp / Link Exp all names were one , half train diverted to Hyderabad and half to Madras at Kazipet jn .
Also in GT train one compartment was reserved as 2 nd sleeper / cum sitting and remembered once I traveled in this compartment from Chennai to N Delhi.
Still dep time of GT exp is mentained 1920 hrs .
After wards many trains introduced few were Jayanthi Jantha Express.

I have travelled between BPL & NGP countless times in this, Food quality especially tomato soup used to be the best in this train.. Sad to see that the standards have dropped so much.. 😪

Great coverage. If you have taken GT Express to honor history, then it's fine. But if you want to travel between NDLS to MAS and vice-versa with thrill of high speed, then TN Express is the best option. I love TN Express.
