Completely put me off the mixed doubles. Was hoping to see a great example of equality, but it appears it hasn't made it to this professional sport just yet.
My thoughts exactly. Probably would have had an easy walk to a win if Shane wouldn't have been bugging her every damn shot. Definitely a fun player to watch
Because on the first shot after the break, what's known as a push out is allowed. Meaning that the player who shoots right after the break happens can do anything they want with the cue ball and it's not a foul (except scratch) including making the incorrect ball. A push out is typically done if the player doesn't have a shot on the ball on the table that's the one required to be hit (the 1 ball on this rack, since it wasn't made on the break). The normal strategy is to try to put the cue ball somewhere where you will have a shot but that you think your opponent will struggle with. After the push, the other player has the option of taking the shot or making the player who did the push take it if they don't like the results. Shane didn't like the leave after the push so he gave the other player the shot. That's why he went twice.
These commentators forgot about the gifted 10 to Jasmine in the first rack. That and the missed 10 at 2/1 would have already won for April. I know this is big time pool and I know April will feel bad but she should not. I believe she will be playing heads up against Ms. Kelly Fisher soon enough and winning her share.
The format should be women’s singles, men’s singles, mixed doubles, women’s doubles & men’s doubles with possible extensions to the format with different players at different extensions.Apart from that anyone should be able to play.

Shane knows more than most on the planet what to do on a table. She actually asked him several times for help. He’s very humble, and if she didn’t want help he wouldn’t give it. That’s how teams work! Sometimes a teammate has an eye for something you didn’t see. It’s best to let the Pros decide what’s best…
There must be no coaching anymore for every shot of the player. You must give her own decision to give what shot she wants. A player come to the arena who is coached prior of the game.
Keep the coaches in their chairs. Over the years they've been trying to speed up the game not slow it down. Thus, the coaches should not have any input once the game starts.
