Some of the NCV detectors also beeps, when you holding a powercable in one hand, and the NCV detector in the other hand, your body then reacts as antenna. Nice video. 👍

A most amazing meter for around $30? For a little more money I would like Bluetooth, bar-graph, and a non-contact IR temperature function. Anyway, the GVDA GD166B is very nice.

Mine just arrived today - Works perfectly with the cables, but the clamp part doesn't work at all :(

EDIT: Took it apart and fixed it - the really thin wires from the current transformers (1 had broken off, not soldered well). So happy now :)

The MUSTOOL C21 is similar but no inrush. Also the Klein CL390. These days clamp meters are doing AC/DC and all the regular DMM things.

Hey Tony! Leuke meter. Lijkt mij het format van idd meters van Aneng, Kaiweets en andere te gebruiken, aangevuld met de specifieke clamp meter functies. Die inrush functie is wel cool. De specs geven alleen de Max bereiken (60A/600A) aan. Dacht dat jij nog wilde testen hoe laag het amp bereik gaat, specifiek met DC. Of heb je 1A als laagste gemeten?

Thanks Marcel, er is geen optie om lage stromen vide de probes te meten, dus ik zou niet veel lager gaan dan 1 en 0,5 Amp... maar dan kan je ook een gewone meter gebruiken.

The clamp itself feels good, it closes really good, it surprized me, not bad at all.. but in the end you get what you pay for... but they did a great job for the price you pay.

You have so many istruments.Why you don't measure what is capture segment of inrush recording with osciloscope so we can know that can capture real value of inrush current?
