    Great video! I'm suprised this hasn't happened to feniton as the barriers are awful there!

    Nice one! They did the same sequence where all of the barriers lower at once with Barmouth South level crossing. Probably the rarest sequence you can catch at a level crossing.

    I saw the engineering team when I was here and I saw the trains were held up by the signals before the level crossing and sounded the horn to the engineers for this month of march this year

    That barrier's had problems before, as in one of your older videos from 2015, it did the exact same thing, but reversed.

    This level crossing is in one of my local areas. That barrier has had problems for a long time.
    Great video though.

      Thanks you! This is one of my locals too. I noticed that barrier getting slower about a month before this happened, so I saw it coming from a mile off.

    Btw, how do I know whether a barrier is Z or Y? I know for N and O btw

    • @FlashingRedProductions
      @FlashingRedProductions  8 месяцев назад

      The Z and Y comes from which side of the crossing the barrier is on. On the railway, there’s an “up” line (towards a major town/city) and “down” line (away from a major town/city). “Z” refers to the barrier on the “down” side, “Y” refers to the barrier on the “up” side.

      @@FlashingRedProductions bit confusing with my local LC then bc trains go up and down line. One track is for trains and one is for trams

      I think the way it works is that one track is called the “up”, while the other is called the “down”, even if they’re bi-directional.
      Sometimes, barriers aren’t labelled though so it can be hard to tell which side of the crossing is the “up” side or “down side”
