ESIM is like those CDMA handsets of Reliance Mobile. ESIM is better for security... in case your phone is lost, you can track it. Normally thieves will remove the SIM card and so data connection is not available to phone. I hope eSIM will come as main stream technology to all phones.

Many aspects of esim has not been covered like de-activaton and reverting back to physical sim, how to know whether a phone is esim enabled, whether a physical sim and an esim can coexist in the same phone, which models support esim for airtel etc etc. I think a separte video should be done covering these aspects.

Now when I got wifi connection in my home I stopped recharging it. But I got incoming calls in that number. After a month when I stopped recharging they blocked my number. I usually use only net and when I got wifi I don't need to recharge it but still I used to receive calls . In case u want to transfer ur esim to next mobile then u have to again go to nearest operator center and they will provide u again new physical sim with same number then u can put that in other mobile and if u want to put that as esim thn again follow the same process
Note - u can not directly transfer esim from one fn to another. While activating esim your sms services will be banned
