@@lotusmark2 I went from the brothers in arms one and saw the same guy do Africa, which was also awesome. But that Dire Straits cover was something else 🤌
Now you are talking, after seeing about 300 different types of Fender and Les Paul guitars in the last 6 months we finally see something properly different.
I have one of these. P90 version. It’s great! It’s got a great tone, great feel and an amazing vibe when you’re playing it that isn’t like anything else. Stays in tune, rocks when you want it, chills when you want it. It’s made well and looks the part. It’s certainly not for everyone, it fits in it’s own place that’s not Les Paul, Strat, Tele, modern shredder, etc. If you want something a little different that leaves a smile on your face, check one of these out. I did and I’m very pleased with it.
For student guitarists like me hardshells are extremely obnoxious. So the gigbag is nice, but I’d stick to my mono case anyways. Unless I’m carrying multiple.
I have one. It is the sturdiest "gigbag" I've ever seen with a lot of protective padding on the sides aswell. Unless you will be stacking the guitars on top of each other, it will hold pretty well.
I actually have a private build from Tel Aviv and I play it through a Nepomuk Amp, no pedals apart from a milkman reverb. It is probably the smoothest blues-guitar you can have.
Everything about that guitar, from the headstock and logo, to the tailpiece is thought out and constructed so well. It's a piece of art for creating art. I've watched all the actual B&G videos, even the story of how the company began is inspiring. Inspired playing as well, by the way. Seems like the perfect guitar , like Pete said, for the player who has all the "other" guitars and wants something different. Alas, out of my price range at the moment. GREAT video
Thanks guys, I would have loved to have heard Peter Green play one of the private builds. Probably the cedar of Lebanon with hand wound split coil pups. Respect and stay healthy all.
I have been curious to see how these guitars sounded out of the context of those beautifully produced adverts. They do indeed sound thick, articulate and kind of hifi. Nice
In the outro, Pete says he is going to play P90s and Rabea HBs. But it looks like Pete is also playing HBs. Can you please confirm which pickups Pete is playing in the outro please? Thank you!
I like the blind fold challenges. You should do a price tier blind fold challenge. Set up price ranges and have someone guess where a number of guitars fall in those brackets bassed on feel and sound alone. Would be nice to see bang for buck with Christmas coming ..
Andertons are actually slightly late to the B&G thing, perhaps not their fault but those guitars are absolutely incredible. Don’t think it’s some small ES body that plays stiff. It’s anything but.
I bought a private build single cutaway P90's Little Sister and private build Caletta. Build quality is phenomenal and the tone unique - you like it or you don't. There's a warmth but brightness in the tones that I can't quite put my finger on, but they sound amazing. I've ordered their Prototype amp and am hoping for even better things. The only pedals I run through are an old MXR Phase 90 and same vintage MXR Dynacomp, plus a Gamechanger Plus. Thinking of adding a Boss TR2 to the chain. These are great guitars, yeah a bit pricey but you get what you pay for.
Love the guitars guys , definitely something different , thanks for the vid this is what keeps me interested in playing , just being different, doesn't hurt now and again. It doesn't want to make me go out and buy everything that's new , it just keeps me inspired. So yeah thanks.
I have a cutaway with P90’s and it’s become the only guitar I want to play. Don’t let the fact that it was made in China scare you, the sound and sustain is outstanding. Don’t knock it ‘til you try it!
Cool guitars. I used to have one, unfortunately the frets were way to small to me, and the p90’s sounded too hard and honky. But hey, if that’s your thing they are absolutely great and wonderfully built.
I tried a P90-equipped cutaway at my local guitar store, maybe the best sounding guitar I ever played. Very dynamic and alive, with a great variety of tones depending on your pick attack. Unfortunately the neck felt too weird for me; somewhat chubby but narrow, with a really flat fingerboard. I figured I'd never really bond with that, so had to give it a pass. Of course, now I've spent a lot of time searching for something that would give me that tone while feeling more right for me :D
@@eldertmohr1366 No, the search continues:D I realized another issue was the fairly small/low frets, at least on the guitar I tried, made bending really hard. The best similar sounding guitar I've played was a Fano GF6 with P90s. Totally different look and double the cost, but tonewise not too far apart.
Damn... that Double Denim Christmas Style Anthem outro with the suttle feedback had me at hello..., 🤩 This one was saved straight to my fantasy file! 🤟

They don't sound as nice though. I was dead set on buying a casino, had played one unplugged and really liked it. When it came time to buy it, I plugged it in and was massively underwhelmed. I already had a P90 LP style Hagstrom, and the Casino sounded weak and thin in comparison. It was very disappointing.
At some point it gets silly when reviewers say they wouldn't expect this tone or that tone from a guitar. A steelplate with humbuckers would sound fat, let's get a bit real here.
They are superb, and £1500 is a (relatively speaking) bargain - better quality than a US Gibson, could do with a hard-case perhaps but the soft one is great

@@scottwengerd7725 they hum a bit as P90s do, but they cancel out in the middle position. I typically roll my volume so I don’t notice it much.
