  • @sdy30
    @sdy30 3 года назад +20

    I have one of these. P90 version. It’s great! It’s got a great tone, great feel and an amazing vibe when you’re playing it that isn’t like anything else. Stays in tune, rocks when you want it, chills when you want it. It’s made well and looks the part. It’s certainly not for everyone, it fits in it’s own place that’s not Les Paul, Strat, Tele, modern shredder, etc. If you want something a little different that leaves a smile on your face, check one of these out. I did and I’m very pleased with it.

    • @rtxf

      For student guitarists like me hardshells are extremely obnoxious. So the gigbag is nice, but I’d stick to my mono case anyways. Unless I’m carrying multiple.

    I bought a private build single cutaway P90's Little Sister and private build Caletta. Build quality is phenomenal and the tone unique - you like it or you don't. There's a warmth but brightness in the tones that I can't quite put my finger on, but they sound amazing. I've ordered their Prototype amp and am hoping for even better things. The only pedals I run through are an old MXR Phase 90 and same vintage MXR Dynacomp, plus a Gamechanger Plus. Thinking of adding a Boss TR2 to the chain. These are great guitars, yeah a bit pricey but you get what you pay for.

    I tried a P90-equipped cutaway at my local guitar store, maybe the best sounding guitar I ever played. Very dynamic and alive, with a great variety of tones depending on your pick attack. Unfortunately the neck felt too weird for me; somewhat chubby but narrow, with a really flat fingerboard. I figured I'd never really bond with that, so had to give it a pass.
    Of course, now I've spent a lot of time searching for something that would give me that tone while feeling more right for me :D

    I had a very early hand-built Little Sister - they had the most amazing RUclips videos to advertise the guitars, which should still be on YT. Great guitars but didn’t bond with it, so sold it. Definitely in that “boutique” space. Rabea nailed the tone in this video.

    Anyone knows how the guitar balance is when playing standing? All demos I see people are sitting down. Love the sound but can’t play neckdivers

    Lots of competition in the price range, gonna draw obvious comparisons with Gibson who at the least will hold value better and hold a name in the industry. Plus made in China too.

      @@omgdisfunny4852 You’re right. They increase in value. Used to could get a les Paul for around 1k if you caught a good deal. Nowhere close now.

      The closest thing to this that Gibson made was the Blueshawk, which they stopped making in 2006. They made an Epiphone version in 2015, but it's also discontinued. They didn't sell well.

      @@JohnKelly2 Immediately thought of the Blueshawk when I saw them first out. My '97 BH is my fave guitar closely followed by the '12 Nighthawk I recently lucked into. Scared away from the $3k of the originals and sorry, no China guitars for me. Cheers!

    Cool looks and good sounds...The price range is debateble : if you cannot actually try and test them,then it is anyone's guess if those guitars worth that king of price tag or not....

    Gorgeous guitars, but 1300 for a unknown brand made in Israel. Captan, do something with that price. Oh, they make the most amazingly beautiful amps too
