"I'm a hostage to my own pride" - this is so deep - no matter who we are or how we are raised - we can be trapped in our own head. Just a relief from 'my stress' . Deondre, this is a great song with a great message ! Not just the entertainment industry - just real life. Thank you my friend !!

That energy you talking about having the abiliity to spot in ppl.... "intuition" and to some degree maybe empathic sense. The ability to observe and take mental notes about your environment/surroundings subconsciously or without full awareness of it happening... because it has become so second nature to you. Ppl with strong intuition or empathic sensory often feel drained or will often very quickly become "bored" but more so "uncomfortable" in very populated or busy social gatherings, as there is either too much to account for... or doing so is draining and tiresome.
Wow thank you for explaining this so well 🙏🏻 I always attributed those feelings to my lack of self confidence which fed my fear and need to “numb” myself.
@@dyanalynn6698 IMO it does have to do w self confidence, or more so low self worth. Often empathetic and intuitive individuals are created due to their subconscious desire to feel validation in their personal character. This is because most recieve this validation through unconditional love by their parents or guardians for which they share a bonded relationship. However, many of us (especially w baby boomer parents) were very much emotionally neglected, and never were shown unconditional love during childhood. Being most of this goes unacknowledged and is subconscious... for most it just seems like we care way too much what others think of us, and we hate to disappoint others... even strangers. We feel amazing and purposeful when someone genuinely appreciates us, and we desire very simplistic yet some might say "corny" or "cheesy" outcomes for ourselves... such as just a partner to bond w and children to treat better than we were. IMO this is because humility comes second nature to low self worth, so does anxiety and depression. It took me a long time, but the answer is to forgive yourself for those deep regrets you have and learn to love yourself... then we can finally discover our own true identity, instead of the one we have often formed hoping to be validated by our peers for what they want us to be. I wish you the best of luck in the future!
@@blacknap0le0n56 Again 100% this lol. I can tell by the way you pick words and your Immaculate description of detailing, that you've come a long way. Shit ain't easy so kudos to you!
