    I ordered one to try it out, I also found hardwood pellets burn a bit better/hotter and the flames not so wildly high

      Yes, you’ll be amazed at the difference in the heat that radiates. And yup, pellets are the best by far. 👍🏻

    I'm a bit annoyed i didnt see this before now. I literally just ordered a heat deflector for my Mesa XL a couple of days ago. I spotted one of these in my local store for cheap and wondered if it would work as a deflector but didnt go for it since i thought it would just help channel the heat upwards.

      It generates more heat, and doesn’t deflect any smoke (the heat deflectors do).
