I have been collecting for over 50 years. A lot has become boring. You have shown me how to take what I have and give it all a new life. I'm from the generation that forbid you painting vintage and antiques. I'm throwing that idea out the window!!!!

I love seeing how you bring new life to older pieces to make them feel fresh for each season. So many people get caught up with thinking they have to buy a lot of new things for the new season instead of sanding, painting, cloth dying etc. It’s really nice seeing someone just use what they have 😊
Completely agree! We already have most of what is needed, maybe the odd thing or some paint etc to help create a cohesive design, I don’t see the need for this pressure to keep on buying new😊🤗
You make all of this work seem to be so easy. We often forget that you have spent years curating your style. So, for all that is young and in a hurry, you must understand patiance is a virtue. Each year, you will acquire bits and pieces as Tracey has been so gracious to share her journey with us all to enjoy and aspire to. As she demonstrates her techniques, paint it this color this year and the next a whole new surprise. It is amazing how a little bit of paint and time can transform an idea. Oh I know what you mean! Ollie was my last lab and he was black… that’s partly why I went for yellow this time, his hair blends with the flooring!!😂💛🖤

Oh Tracey! Nothing screams spring to me like tumbling terra cotta pots! And that moss green ribbon is icing on the cake! When you said your husband cleaned off the moss, I had to laugh as it reminded me of my Dad. He is gone now.. but every time he came to visit.. I would come home from work and he had hacked back all my gorgeous climbing ivy surrounding my walled garden!!!! I could just kill him!!!! I use to have to hide all the garden tools when I knew he was coming. How one man could purge years of charm in an afternoon is beyond me. Love the ivory textures of the sofa throw and cushions. And the green pillows are the perfect ode to spring.
And I am Team Bertie!!! Bring back my sheepskin rug to the snug!!! I got you Bertie!

Oh the wall paint throughout is simple… just plain old Matt white! I was the sole decorator on the job so no time for sweating colour charts! 😂

My mind is spinning. So many beautiful ideas for spring. Never again will I think a pot, flowers, or other decor is too large for my room. Cutting branches to bring inside is brilliant. One of my favorites was the 3 small pots layered on the mantle next to the polyanthus - such a simple but nice touch.

I just love the way you re-purpose all your items and the way you use your garden clippings. It has made me want to start walking in my woods to find things to put in my house. I have already used pinecones for fire strarers by using old wax from my too-old to-use candles. I use an old pot, get all my candles and melt them, then carefully dip them in the wax. Sometimes they have to be dipped a couple of times, just depends on how hot the wax is. They smell just delightful !!
