Actually he was the best actor in the story of Kunning palace, even though he had a small role. Zhang Linghe is eye candy, but his acting depth isn't that great. Bailu is better but a lot of her movements seem to be exaggerated and unnatural. I don't know if this is an actor or director issue that they have to see the costumes and hair laid out neatly. If people are in freezing water, why are their clothes dry when they get out and they are not shivering?

The story is good and refreshing you will not get bored .every character will make you feel their story and characters . Not just the male leads but side character's relationship were also emphasized.They showed a deep friendship between emperor and duke su , the way Jiang jingrui and ye shijie and others relationship are beautifully described here.The guards of duke su never disappointed the audience in any scene.Each and every character were finely represented.I loved it and enjoyed watching it😊😊😊❤

I am here after completing all the 40+short epilogue episodes. Just want to let the future viewers know that it is a superb show. You won't regret watching it. I did not skip even a bit of the show, it was that good. Wang Xingyue has my heart ❤ I noticed him for the first time in Story of Kunning Palace where surprisingly, I liked him much more than the ml. At that time I had hoped for Xingyue to get a lead role and he really did not disappoint as Duke Su. Xingyue has now become my fav chinese male actor besides Xiao Zhan and Luo Yunxi. He is a solid actor so much better than the overhyped ones. Wu Jinyan is also excellent in her acting. She is just so breathtaking in each shot that whenever she was onscreen I couldn't look away 😂 Both of them are amazing actors and their chemistry is mind blowing 🔥🔥🔥. Definitely one of the best chinese drama couples for me. And not just the leads, but every other actor did their job well. I have also become a fan of the actor playing Fangfei's husband. I hope he gets a lead role in future as I loved his acting. He definitely has all the potential of a male lead. Despite his character killing his wife, I felt pity for him in some scenes due to his terrific acting. Also, the actress playing Princess Wanning, did a tremendous job. The Asian film industry makes sure they have cosmetically enhanced lookalikes ready to take on ml roles when popular actors and actresses get too popular and demand more money. Zhao Lusi now just looks like the other Barbies probably wanted to step away from the baby-faced giggly roles that has been her main image. But she showed her acting ability was wider than just a clown in Love Like the Galaxy. Maybe, just maybe, she may take on more mature and complex characters. So many Asian actors and actresses seem just to disappear after a certain age.
This series is well done. The subtlety of scenes and dialog are amusing, instead of the common in-your-face scheming, fighting, arguing and kissing so prevalent in other dramas.

I loved this drama overall. Loved best the couple’s chemistry. There is no nonsense , and the communication of the words not said, but each knows the other’s intentions without speaking them out loud, by a smile or a glance it’s hold the viewer enthralled… both of them have really got into their characters well. My only complaint is “ why on earth they killed of his two men and her companion?!! There was absolutely no need for it. The last episode was the pits! If I was the director I would have made a change right there, and kept the side kicks alive, both the men and the lady companion. It’s a must watch though.

And its first time i didn't get bore after watching 40 episodes. In general whether kdrama or c drama watching 10 episodes in a trot is difficult for me. Here i just forgot my sleep. So good . Oh gosh, you will have fun watching this show. I binge watched this and I just finished ep 34. I can’t get enough. I want more. It’s crazy good scriptwriting, and the main leads are really good with slow but smooth chemistry. I guess I am a big fan of very smart female leads. She is one of those.

So far, the story is really good! It's just the beginning but so much has happened already! Too bad, chao yue has just a little bit of cameo, she gave me a chill w/ her acting and cuteness! I want more scenes of her! Jinyan is good as well, it is getting more interesting every scene! Looking forward to her journey for revenge!💖💖💖

I loved this drama overall. Loved best the couple’s chemistry. There is no nonsense , and the communication of the words not said, but each knows the other’s intentions without speaking them out loud, by a smile or a glance it’s hold the viewer enthralled… both of them have really got into their characters well. My only complaint is “ why on earth they killed of his two men and her companion?!! There was absolutely no need for it. The last episode was the pits! If I was the director I would have made a change right there, and kept the side kicks alive, both the men and the lady companion. It’s a must watch though.
I know she’s more than yanxi palace but I’m sooo happy I watched it because she’s a gem an amazing actress royal feast the legend of haolan I love her historical dramas she was born to do those parts

My favorite c drama. I finished it in 2 days. This channel made me watch it till episode 22 . Then i had to pay to watch remaining episodes. And its first time i didn't get bore after watching 40 episodes. In general whether kdrama or c drama watching 10 episodes in a trot is difficult for me. Here i just forgot my sleep. So good . Love ML, FL even supporting casts ❤❤❤

Oh gosh, you will have fun watching this show. I binge watched this and I just finished ep 34. I can’t get enough. I want more. It’s crazy good scriptwriting, and the main leads are really good with slow but smooth chemistry. I guess I am a big fan of very smart female leads. She is one of those.
