Such a talented young lady! Background or not, people need to understand that you need good dancers too. They can’t all be amateurs you know. Plus, it’s tough to find celebrities without a dance background these days. As long as you’re not already trained in ballroom, you’re good. Aljaz must be having the time of his life. What a way to return!😃
Well said. Some of the shows most memorable and iconic dances are from the celebs with the dance experience…Jill’s Jive, Jay’s Jive, Karim’s Jive, Danny’s Samba, Ashley’s Salsa among many more. People are also being a lot harsher about Tasha’s dance experience than they are about Sarah’s or Jamie’s etc. They are deserve their spot and they’ve all been fantastic to watch too.
The only issue I have is people only criticising her for dance training but saying nothing for Sarah and Jamie who are trained in styles closer to strictly. Either give everyone trained backlash or don’t say anything at all.
Score - *10* For me, Tasha is probably in the top 5 best we've ever seen already, and from how the judges talk to her, she's probably the most advanced we've ever seen. I've been waiting for a routine that really makes me want to connect with her and this was it!! She told a beautiful story in this, the choreography could not have been any better, the music was so stunning for this, it really all came together. Really some of the best Tango sequences we've ever seen, I don't think anyone has ever done that slide at 1:10 that is so hard to syncopate and it just looked so effortless, in all honesty this is the type of dancing I wanna watch on Strictly, so all the haters for her dance experience can 🖕🏻💋
@@GM84GM She's trained in Commercial style dancing, not Latin or Ballroom, so this is a completely new skill that she is learning along with all the other celebs. Yes when it comes to couples choice she will have an advantage score wise if she chooses commercial but right now with the Ballroom and Latin, Tasha is in the same boat as everyone else, a complete beginner and learning a new skill.
@@ravenclawrumba7096 Pretty much any kind of dance experience comes with a lot of transferable skills though that clearly set those contestants above the complete newbies. Things like body coordination, musicality, performance skills, learning new routines, general fitness meaning they can cram in more repetition, possibly handling props, dancing in heels, some kind of lifts or partner work etc. I don't mind some people being better to begin with, but find it misleading to claim they start from the same line when they so clearly don't. Sure, they will still need to learn the steps and the frame and all that, but they can at least start learning those things from day one, whereas we hear the other contestants starting from learning to walk in heels (or just walk in general!), clapping to a rhythm, counting to eight and so on 😄
@@durabelle Yeah I completely get that I'm just sick and tired seeing people every week whine about Tasha having experience, when yes there are transferable skills but she still needs to learn an awful awful lot and put in alot of time, yes she has experience but not with everything and especially last week when she did incredibly well and alot of comments I saw were just people complaining about her dance experience, instead of celebrating how brilliant she was and putting a dampner on things, when in a show like Strictly nothing will ever really be 100% fair but nobody, experience or no experience, should have to receive rude comments on social media every week, but I do completely agree with everything that you said.
This was excellent! The floor coverage, drive and speed were exceptional. This routine would cut the mustard in a real ballroom dance competition. Dancing it to an actual tango would have elevated it even further. Great teaching, great student! When you see the pro dancing full on like this with such a good student you know it's something special!
Wow, that's one of the best Tangos I've seen in a while! She's just so good! I get what Craig says about the attack, but this is a really refreshing take on the Tango, adding more elegance fitting for a Ballroom. Doesn't seem fair to mark her down on that. Guess they're marking her down a little to keep her on her toes from last time.
I got a feeling that I know why she was under marked, but this was brilliant and deserved a higher mark! She better be a finalist or I'll riot! Also, how I missed Aljaz, I won't get tired of saying it, he's brilliant!
Do you think they wanted to test her vote? Or because her dances are a high standard, they have to be hyper critical and are judging her differently because of that? I’m not complaining though, I enjoy Tasha and I am just happy to watch her dance regardless of her score!
40! Perfection honestly although the song (not their fault obviously) but the song wasn’t really a Tango but that’s a small thing. She’s genuinely incredible! Lacked aggression? Craig darling, go to sleep! Lovely! ❤
I love Florence + The Machine and Dog Days Are Over is one of my favorite songs of all time BUT Whoever assigned this song to this dance must have been on something because in what world is Dog Days Are Over a Tango song?! This incredible song would’ve been better used for a Jive for Tasha.
Technically she's brilliant, but honestly, I just feel quite unmoved by her dances and maybe that's because she doesn't bring herself into them... I think she's lovely and clearly talented but also a bit boring to watch really. (And I'm not saying that because of her background, there have been many Strictly stars with dance backgrounds over the years who've been some of my faves.)
Next is Tasha Ghouri and Aljaz dancing the Tango. I thought this dance was technically great, a little too fast for a tango and even tho I love the song I don't think poetically this song goes with a tango dance however good dance.
I bet his wife fell in love with him all over again..that was a thing of beauty how he moved across the floor. And I am saying that as a lesbian to boot🤣
Our scores: Me: 9 Diya: 9 Kelsey: 9 Owen: 10 37/40 SO CLOSE. There was just a little slip in the middle and Tasha’s frame just dropped a little near the end. However, the drama, the footwork, it was as sharp as a blade. She’s so good, definitely the most exciting to watch each week I’m eagerly anticipating their performances, and she never disappoints.
That stupid, horrible unsuited music crucified such a perfect Tango. So many beautiful Tango, Latin compositions to choose from. Tasha was flawless and should have received full marks. So disappointing.
Nobody is really shocked? Personally having a talent like Tasha adds excitement to the show, I’m always looking forward to Saturday night because of her
Sorry, did not like it, Tango dance should be made via the amazing Tango Music, not any other music. I missed the concept and the meaning of this routine - the organizers should be aware of this
Tasha is really talented. But she did get a bit floppy half-way through. It's difficult to take your eyes off Aljaz in these Latin dances tho, he draws you in, so superb and immersed in the drama role. What a guy!

never a 10 , it started of great but her frame wasn't perfect , 9
Love the dress. Great routine and danced well. Great footwork and feeling.
Loved it, she really is incredible, I look forward to these 2 every week. 9/10
It's almost as if she's already a dancer......🤔🤔

I really loved this tango! Tasha and Aljaz danced it beautifully and I loved the style of the dance! ❤❤
I think she might win . Great dramatic song to dance to aswell 🙌🎶💜.

Really enjoyed this dance!! The slide step at @1:09 was incredible!! I rewatched it several times!!!
I thought I was imagining it, had to watch several times and then check in the comments to see if anyone else saw it!! 🤣Very impressive.
So glad someone said this! I loved it too! Watched is three times now! So In sync

They are both great together to tango dance is so loved by strictly come dancing

Oohh get a room already . Phew😅
They are definitely judging her differently bit more picky
The song is not suited at all for tango - which ruined it slightly for me.
what was this music choice , not her pb but still a ringer for sure. 9, an 8 was too harsh
every week i only watch her performance lol
