    4:15 Not exactly. All non-[B]DR routers on a Broadcast segment stay in the 2WAY/DROTHER relation with other non-[B]DR routers

    Hey charles can you explain why do we see one unicast hello packet after the dbd Packet no 93 time : 12:20

      Our OSPF-enabled router wants to form adjacencies with all neighbors on a subnet, which is why we initially see the OSPF hello packet sent as a multicast message. The packet you mention (93) marks the point where the DR/BDR relationship is being established. There is a DR/BDR election for every individual network segment between OSPF-enabled devices. So for example, if we had R3 as an additional router connected to R1, we would need a DR/BDR election for the link between R1-R2, and also the link between R1-R3. This is the reason we see unicast messages during this phase - because only two specific nodes would be involved in the election process.
