In the video i said maybe Shaw's skill lvl 4 can work, but someone told me that lvl 4 isn't enough.
So you need lvl 7+
I was panicked until you typed this lel
My shaw with lvl 7 skill just pushes the enemies past cuora to the upper tile wtf

That was when I gave up all hope of beating the stage.
I was stuck at OF-EX4 for days even with a guide and finally finished it. Now the Head Strategist KyoStinV says "Oh my god" ... I don't think I have enough LMD and Records to level any Ops required for that (None of my Ops are maxed e1, I'm just 3 weeks into the game)
Jesus these levels are insane, thank you for your sacrifice.
When Kyo has trouble with a map, that automatically means you can’t do it
You can, but remember he use low rarity so its pretty much harder

Ya if you use higher rarity units it would go a bit better, like schwarz or ifrit can melt everything off on that middle area. It is still a good challenge even with high rarity units tho! 😂

Props to papa Kyo for pumping out these insane clear videos, he sounds so tired tho I hope he gets some rest after this. :)
I love how both Kyo and Ecko have radically different strategies in beating this stage, and both works. It just shows how well-thought out this game is.
Also, personally speaking, I think this stage is a bit easier that EX4, because that stage has VERY little margin of error (especially the White Boy vibe check at the end), while this stage is more lax with that. Also, this level has no gremlin snipers.

Some kick tips that worked for me in case anyone is doing this lvl:
- Don't put speed x2, you need your full attention to do this map and timing is essential.
- Be careful to put any unit to tank the spiders when one of the volcanoes is exploding, will recibe more damage that it should(that happened to Vigna on the video I think).
- Your sniper is going to be more important than your caster, because you need to kill those casters in the middle as quick as possible. Make sure to take a fast one and with good damage. Try to get a Exusai as a partner if you can.
--Another good tactic to defend the middle is to put your defender up the "volcano thing" next to where Perfumer is(or even better: the next block to that one), and an AOE caster or Amiya on the block that is left untouched(the one in the right), facing to the left; then your sniper on the block that is below Lava on the video, and perfumer facing up to heal everything.
-- If you do this, then you can even put two snipers(an extra one where lava is) to do as much damage to any caster... or use cannon fodder like Kyo did lol
-- Put Cuora in the middle line to tank the big ones and a tank healer with art resistance on the bottom line(everything that Kyo did for the bottom line is the same), because with this strategy your problem will be the big ones and winning enough time for Amiya/any caster to kill them. Cuora can do this the best, but any other defender with a boost DEF abbility should work.

thanks! based on your setup, i used ifrit, platinum, ptilopsis, and liskarm on the centre, nearl, provence, gavial, and lappland on the right. with the highest level at e2 20, and they helped me clear beautifully.
on the beginning i would suggest placing vigna at the centre as she kills the slugs faster and is less likely to get caught with the exploding lava.
Honestly at this point I should be independent but your guides still amaze me shshshhs

You can just use 1 or 2 5* or 6* if it too hard, don't mind what people saying things, they should have at least 2 or more 6* at this point. They can't depend on all low cost team forever once CC come.

This... and OF EX-4... was a massive pain in the ass. So glad that I finished this map!
As a side note, because I saw a support Ifrit with E2-75, I decided to use her in place of Skyfire. Her range is damn narrow, but hot damn does she dish out some serious damage! (Dammit, I made a pun). But thanks a bunch for this! :)

I just finished CM EX5 only b/c I used myrtle s2 for heal on the left side of the map and needed that insane amount of dp to deploy shining in time😭, rly feeling that sanity drain after realizing theres EX6 after

Wooow Kyo thanks. Cleared it excellently but of course with a Skyfire support unit. Damn tho the Skyfire had the ATK up γ skill instead so I had to deploy anyone I have left on the upper formation

I ran out of drill plans on this map. Managed to brute force it though (SilverAsh+Angelina lol)
Ifrit as the upper dps really makes this a great deal easier (you can afford to not remove the sniper from the start, which makes overall dps far easier to kill the mages faster and makes the incoming damage easier to deal with, which offsets having 1 less distraction unit). Stalling the enemies as they're running just out of the gate using fast redeploy so that they can be hit a time or two before getting anywhere close often means that the sniper kills them before they can start hitting you back
One thing to add that I found out the hard way - make sure to push the Agents into the hole with Shaw as soon as possible. If you're even a second late, the second Agent will have moved a bit into the tile Cuora is on (since she can only block three with her skill active because of the debuff and she's already blocking the Rockbreakers), and Shaw's skill will push that enemy right past Cuora instead of into the pit. You don't want that.

honestly the only hard part of the stage is those caster pilling up at the top part which just melt your operators like nothing but hey thanks for the guide man

As wild as this level was, you were right in Ifrit being really good here, she melts everyone (casters included) before they can melt my defenders

bluepoison is actually my MVP in almost all of these OF-EX stages.. S1M3 melts those enemy defenders like butter, well ifrit works too
I borrowed ifrit for this and I can recommend. Makes things a lot easier
I think a second pusher, FEater can be used at the Matterhorn's tile, facing downward. OR The tile intersects with Matterhorn - Skyfire then facing left. The last one is 3C's idea. FEater need to use S2-7. She will push everyone to the hole. Talking about good AoE.
Shaw can just use S1-7 to ease your concentration, she wont push the big guy anyway.
At the start it's better to use Vigna on the left slugs and the Fast Redeploy operator on the right, so that you have enough DPS to kill the slugs before the volcanic explosion. It's fine if Gravel takes her time on the right.

This level is insane. Tried many combination but it still fails. The moment the big guys, slug's debuffer, and soldiers that decreases block count appear at the same time. I am screwed.

I positioned my Ifrit skill 3 rank 7 in the last tile bottom left facing up, with global healing from Angelina or Perfumer she survives the 3rd skill usage.
As soon as the enemies enter Ifrit's range pop the skill and you have well cooked casters with medium rare armoured tanks.
Try it, it's fun to see the difficulty of this level plummet LUL.
She doesn't need a healer if there is global healing and no range units can reach her.

The challenge versions are flat out nightmares. The challenge for this one basically demands Myrtle.
E2 myrtle can actually tank those two explosive spiders in the right. She's a lifesaver lol

Also if you're like me and from the future, Texalter is the ultimate "I Win" button. She just trivializes practically everything...
This stage is so freaking long that it took me hours to legit get the right plan for this lol.
The way I did is pretty much the same as KyoStin but mines I replaced Kros with my E2 LVL20 Skill1 Jessica. And it IS possible to do this without a support like Skyfire. It's just hard, and requires more or less the same timing as Kyo's here as well as some adjustments I did to my own that actually works just as well, especially to the last part.
Short version of it, took me a whole day since this video came out to finally get to that point, and even then it was still barely passable as long as you have your units redeployed in time lol.
I use Kyo video as reference but abandon shaw strategy altogether (skill lv.4 and no material) and use silverdad+lappland in the bottom while replace skyfire with meteorite because I think big armor guy is not as dangerous as caster but even that I still almost lost if not placing cuora and hoshiguma to block in time
I kept failing this stage but when you said use a friend's ifrit it clicked, thanks kyo

Your comment about using Ifrit is why I cleared this. I know he said we could, but she really trivializes that one area of the map.
Using a friend's Ifrit in place of where you had Skyfire made this super easy.

There are some more shenanigans you can do with Rope or others with push/pull.
You don't actually need an AOE caster. You just need to pick off the enemy casters. Pick whatever unit you have that will do that best.
