i love how much freedom this game gives you, and how you sometimes have to find stuff to fix cars to use like one time i found a bus and went on a side mission to get stuff to fix it so i could use it
Go up to the attic in the start garage and find the Katana. I keep it in slot 2 in my hot bar. If you're attacked by the "friendly" NPC you can quickly get the sword into your hands by pressing 2 or the slot you use (1-4), and kill him or any rabbit that charge you. The Katana is OP. There are also plenty of guns & ammo in the game if you like that. E.g. In the start garage there is a loaded six-shooter in the bottom of the chimney. Crouch about half way down using the scroll wheel and sneak behind the stove in the living room/kitchen. There you'll see a small door. Open it and jump into the the chimney by hitting the space bar and W. Pick up the revolver and jump back out. All the time stying crouched about half-way down. This may take some practise to find the right height of your character to get through. Playing with the NPCs can be fun. You can for example lure him to jump into the well. Or just make him follow your car into the desert and leave him stranded. He won't find his way back to the POI.

You absolutely can clean your tires. And you missed a few things in the base garage: - Air cooled engines are not bad. In fact, it saves you from having to log around water to cool your engine. The only water you'll need is what you need to drink. The problem is, the air cooled engines tend to have less power. They are fine for bikes and smaller cars like the VW beetles. - If you do need coolant, sure, take the Jerry can and fill it up. Then take the can over to the kitchen sink and top it off. That amount of water should last you a long, long time. - there are two wire brushes and two bottles of polish in the garage. You missed one bottle on the second floor in the corner near the trophies and bucket on the right. The second wire brush is usually on the top shelf of the stack of shelves that you can see just over the edge of the edge closest to you before you get to the wooden planks. - To upgrade the condition of your tires, you need to dismount them from the car and from the rim. Take your polish spray and for each 4 squirts, you raise the condition of the tire by one stage. The highest stage is the shiny stage. - There is a car out there that if you use the wire brush on, it will actually damage the car instead of improve it. I believe it is the Trabant models as they are made out of a primitive fiberglass material called Duraplast. Those can only be improved by the sponge and polish spray.
@@northof-62 If you spray the tires while mounted, you risk the spray improving the rim or hubcap. If you want to make sure you only get the tire, spray it dismounted. The Trabants will not improve with the wire brush. Only with spray and sponge. I don't know if it damages it.

34:28 You can use the spray bottle on them to get them to better condition and the starter house has an extra spray and wire brush on the shelf and upstairs.
Hey something that he did not mention let’s say you’re going on the road for a long time and you’re kind of sick of your vehicle and you want to get a new one instead of trying to go to different houses and stuff to get the parts just make a new game Just make sure you do not ever reset your distance like my dumb ass did this morning because I just got back to the game because in total to get to the end which I have not seen yet it’s about 50 hours of going straight reckon it does depend on the speed of your vehicle and all that but it’s roughly about 50 hours
Make sure that all the fuels are correct! Some engines need different fuels! Also check your settings to see what you need to press to start the car! For me its "I" the letter i, if that doesn't work I recommend making another save, and seeing if you get a different car and if you can get that to work!
@@jds09916 Honestly Trail and error, you could try using the wiki aswell, but I recommend waiting until I make an all engine tutorial, but until then wiki or try on your own sorry!
Tips "Christine" plymouth fury is SHIT at handling (if you really want better handling add two palletes and a rail piece) where front seats are) . Best engines: v8 (imo kinda crap, devours fuel, engine can make cars unstable), golf petrol engine IS DA GOAT. Efficient, light, fast. To ones who confuse golf engines: Without airfilter (black disc thing) - diesel With airfilter - petrol. Outta fuel? Get out and push by pressing f on steering wheel. But thats slow so. Croutch jump in car ( dont sit) stay in middle of a car, press e on handbrake and RUN FORWARD when car starts to tryand rollover, sit in the seat. If ur fucked, object glitching w a car or outta fuel and too lazy to do my trick. Go to menu, press the unmarked tab below the clock. And u get dev tools which can spawn anything and x to remove stuff. Latest update, has a bug where ifa truck makes ittems dissapear if physics lock is on in setiings (whole interior and trunk option) Whitewall tires makes handling worse ive flipped few cars cuz of it

@@zebraagent you lost everything in a save? If that save had been saved WITH items inside, just turn off phys lock or change it to "gloveboxes, baskets" and your stuff should be there, reload the save
@@Malexxuss-Official Make sure you have the right fuel, the engine is locked in place! Also check your keybinds! Maybe also try reloading the save or getting another car to try! Hopefully this helps!
Every when i try to run engine it says that i don't have baterry (I know this from the gauges on the dashboard), but I don't know how to jumpstart the battery or anything. (i'm playing this game for first time), can someone help me ?
Sorry for the late response but, that means you just have to press W or S to put the car in gear, check if your settings for controls if your playing with Auto Shift off!
Make sure your handbrake isn't down, you can press your space bar to do so. Also make sure that everything has been placed in. Maybe you didn't put the engine in when your cursor was a wrench icon. Also make the engine needs a different fuel mixture. Other than that I am not too sure, but hope this helps!
Strange. Make sure your fluids are correct. Some engines take different fuels. Also make sure that everything is in place! Like the engine is 'locked' in place, and not jut floating in the engine bay.
Just refunded this game even with the $3.99 summer sale. Total technical nightmare with a steering wheel. I guess if you want the keyboard experience then it works. Thumbs up for the video tutorial. Thumbs down for the game on Steam.
When you get in the driver's seat press I to start the engine. Then press "space bar" to release the handbrake, and then use WASD to drive around, Hope this helped!
No your I to start the car, then press space bar for the handbrake to go up, then HOLD WASD to drive around. Check your settings it may be different.@@phuctantran4581
the "i" key you have to hold down until the engine turns over. If the engine won't start, it might mean you don't have the right fuel in the car, it is out of fuel, or out of oil, or a combination of both (in a two stroke engine). You can also start the car with the "w" key so long as you want to drive forward.

You can, actually, spray the tyres fitted to the rims too.

You most likely have the hand brake on, press the space bar, or you can look at the handbrake in the car and interact with it!

I think you need to press "i" to start your car! Make sure you have Oil, and gas!

Just dont play with the steering wheel? Its still really fun with even the most basic driving system
when i drive for a bit my car stops working how do i fix that? (and yes the car still has fuel and water when that happends)
