I was always told that if you want to get into the jungle, you take a Land Rover, but if you want to get back out, you'd better be in a Land Cruiser. I love shows like this, you guys are such a great Trio and I love the information and the history. Please keep it up.
Moe is awesome! Love meateater...I miss the show but the new content is awesome these days...pretty ordered the book and I'm looking forward to 2-11...thanks for the upload and quality content! Meateater for life!
I first saw Mo on an episode of meateater. WOW! Did not know everything he did!! Amazing episode! Thanks Steve! And thanks Mo for sharing everything about you!
Wow, i was watching old Meateaters this weekend (got my PA flintlock deer), and got to wondering about Mo. That sent me to IMDB. Hearing all this is really cool. Thanks for the explanation. I would've liked more about the old 'Wild Within' show. Really cool to see you both back together for a new project. Looking forward to it.
Nooo Reservations ! ...one of my all time favorite shows watched every episode and would still be watching if not for very unfortunate demise of Mr Bourdaine what a ride that was ..!
Steve talking about transitioning from being in the traveling at work mindset to coming home mindset. Imagine the guys who go to war for 12 years......
The Muskegon area was originally inhabited by the Ottawa and Pottawatomi tribes. The Ojibwe called the Muskegon River "mashkig", which also means "swamp" or "marsh"
I think the book title Steve referenced about starvation in the Canadian Arctic is called Unflinching and not Death on the Barrens. Two different stories.
I was a show runner for Live Nation for a few years. My job was to cater to the "talent". Which meant I had to remove the green M&Ms from the bowl, get the sequined costumes laundered, travel many miles to get bottled water in glass containers, change out toilets, and such. It was anything but running the show.
great pocast . would be interesying to watch alaska triangle . but I dont have cable or a tV . I did watch a show on the Alaska Triangle before .they were looking for a plane that went down in that area they was a year ago , 5 people if I recall .
There is a podcast from a month ago on a channel called The bridge podcast it's called the real DB Cooper revealed: a son's irrefutable proof, Rick McCoy III. He tells his story about knowing It was FBI special agent Rick O'Hara who killed his father. Shows his green Beret from the military from the 60's on the podcast, he was a highly decorated Vietnam veteran. His mom and grandma kept it a secret from him that his dad wrote him from prison but they decided not to share them with him. He doesn't find any of this out until during COVID, when his mother and grandmother both passed away and he was going through their things. He contacted the FBI and they visited their old home site and took the parts of parachute and other items that were found and kept hidden away. The FBI wants to do DNA testing, he gave his, but the family is split on exhuming the body to end the mystery finally. He seemed like a really legit, trustworthy guy so so maybe you should look into it and see what is going on with it at this point.
They think db landed somewhere between battleground amboy cougar and yacolt washington. I grew up in north battleground. Believe me, other than Sasquatch, the db cooper mystery is still very much alive.
Joe Rogan has revealed himself to be a complete sellout and grifting waste of space but the greatest thing he ever did was get this man to start a podcast for real intelligent people who love nature, people, and hunting.
He voted democrat his whole life. He even publicly endorsed Bernie in 2016 but was ridiculed and harassed by the left. Just like RFKjr, tried to run with the democrats but was kicked to the curb because he’s a white male.
Are you 5? How uneducated do you have to be to not understand his statement. If you don’t like Steve you dont have to listen to the show, nobody cares about either of our opinions.
One of the best parts of every Monday.

I’ve always been a huge fan of both Anthony and Steve’s writing and Television work.
The Lord of the rings reference talking about the hobbits return to the shire was incredibly relatable. made me love this guy even more lol
I'm excited about some new meateater shows. 👏
I first saw Mo on an episode of meateater. WOW! Did not know everything he did!! Amazing episode! Thanks Steve! And thanks Mo for sharing everything about you!
Been waiting for this Monday’s podcast since I heard about the new show.
Literally watched the movie Without a Paddle over the weekend, where they're talking about DB cooper. Perfect timing
I’m from Ottawa county right next to Muskegon. I was told when I was young that muskie were over fished. Muskie gone.
The DNR stocks hundreds of thousands of Muskie fry yearly.

This was great boys, love the mystery element a lot!
Coming from a chef, you should be very proud to have been nominated for James Beard! I am always impressed with your culinary skills! Rock on chef!

Great listen!
Mo seems like the chillest dude
The book “Alive” is a great survival story of people stuck high in the mountains (the Andes).
My wife and I camp in Cougar almost every summer, it's a great place.

Phil just earned a two week paid vacation. I don’t think he has to blink twice on that one.

Eating in Cougar WA LoL love that area !
Have undefeated MMA fighter Chael Sonnen call into the pod and give you the DB Cooper scoop.
I get Steve talking about conspiracy theories… I guess the perfect podcast does exist.
great pocast . would be interesying to watch alaska triangle . but I dont have cable or a tV . I did watch a show on the Alaska Triangle before .they were looking for a plane that went down in that area they was a year ago , 5 people if I recall .
Steve should act in a movie about one of these guys
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Copy-paste:
The name "Muskegon" is derived from the Ottawa Indian term "Masquigon" meaning "marshy river" or "swamp."
You Should ask Chael Sonnen about D.B Cooper. He says he knows the real guy, on his podcast.
No, Muskegon is derived from an Ottawa Native American word, not Algonquin

I thought that it was already proven that Joe Rogans boss on News Radio was Doobie Keebler (DB Cooper)....
They think db landed somewhere between battleground amboy cougar and yacolt washington. I grew up in north battleground. Believe me, other than Sasquatch, the db cooper mystery is still very much alive.
RIP Tony

@dylsapkeg
Fer-Fuq-Sake , have some respect for the late great Anthony Bourdain & the pioneers of the land.
You must be new here. The podcast isn’t just about hunting and hasn’t been for a while. It was a great episode, cheer up.
No way comparing myself to a soldier…let me compare myself to a soldier.
