Last time in london olympics she won bronze against chinese wang xin who had to retire after 1st set/game becoz of ankle injury n she had already won first set which means more likely saina wud have lost that game as well. Besides, she is already 31 yrs old n was out of form since 2019. If u follow badminton then u wud know that she is not fast enough to beat the japanese or chinese. In rio she lost pre QF only ! She lost to a 61st rank player when she was at 5th. Unlike shooting n archery the rankings in badminton r close to genuine

saina must achieve below 60kg to beat tty. tty b4 2016 was 62kg. now she weight 57kg. saina from 2010 until now weight 65kg. maybe ok to face other player. but since tty is much2 lighter now. thats why saina lost to her more than 10 times consecutivelt

shes 165 n 65kg. not ideal for single player. its true its depend on the form they compete each other sometimes win n sometimes lost. but how do you explain 13 consecutive lost to tty?. tty still can lose to marin, ukuhara,yamaguchi and so on. she at first 4-0 against tty. tty from 2010-2016 merely a contender but after she shed 5kg w 6pact stomach she is what she is now. u said that weight is not a problem. u compare yamaguchi n okuhara. both 156cm. but yamaguchi 56kg n okuhara is 51kg. okuhara won world championship n twice all england already. morten frost always praise yamaguchi rather than okuhara. for him okuhara is merely a retriever not an attacker. not a positive aproach to win for him. he bengjiao is nowhere.
im not saina fans but i like to wonder why she failed to win big events.
you look at her journey. she came into scene from 2006. ok lah at that time people claimed that she is a future champion. at that she still struggling to win against shenk, hirose. not to mention stedier opponent like xingfang, zhang ning, wang chen whatsoever. then came yihan.
2010 came players who is same age like her shixian, xuerui then marin n teenagers like intanon n tty follow up by okuhara n yamaguchi
saina is still young although she is overweight but with her attacking mode she can compete.
but to win a championship w additional 5-10 kg at the back is too tough compare to other players.

And during that time
Nehwal couldnt even win anything..
That is a proof that she was just lucky during the peak of her career.
Look at her in 2016 - present,
I'm Rio Olympics alone, she DIDNT EVEN make it thru the SECOND ROUND! LOL

She literally didn't win anything except the OK INDONESIA MASTERS where Marin RETIRED during that finals due to ACL INJURY!!!!, AND if Marin didn't get injured , theres no way Nehwal could have won that either.hahahahahaha

In this Match I didnt Saina play the backhand. She was trying to win by brute force. Smashing everything thats floating. One observation which could be Tais weakness.Tai always tries to finish by executing tough winners and whenever opponent manages to take a difficult one from her she tries even difficult winner which mostly goes out. Tai lacks a bit of patience i felt.
