Augustine was a heretic, he taught gnosticism duality, nobody is born with original sin, Solomon said... Ecclesiastes 7:29 NKJV - Truly, this only I have found: That God made man upright, But they have sought out many schemes.”
So how can both be true? Somebody is either a liar or ill informed. Either way Paul said Romans 6:16 NKJV - Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?
Even in Romans Romans 2:14 NKJV - for when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things in the law, these, although not having the law, are a law to themselves,
So we see that sin or righteousness is a choice by our growth and development, i.e. nature. There is no excuse for sin ever, we do what are hearts desire.

@Rabbitburn reading a verse with your own self interpretation leads to the disaster of poor quality dialogue to set up in the world.
If there was no original sin, the man would not sought out for schemes that leads him to go against the will of God. That tendency of humans to fall is called original sin.
Jesus said be like Children for their angels look at the face of God and unless you become like a child it is not possible to enter heaven. So children are innocent, good and pure. But they all have original sin which tends to incline towards rebellion against God. This is called original sin.
If you are not a scholar on these things, please don't post unscriptural and unacademic views.
      Thank you
