They were groomsmen at each others weddings, jensen's kids call jared uncle and jared's kids call jensen uncle, they spend holidays and free time together AND they visit each other frequently. Not to mention when jensen found out he was having a girl the first person he called was jared. This is brotherhood at its finest.

Is it normal in America that if someone says "How are you" that the other person doesn´t notice it and that the person who asks actually doesn´t necessarily want an answer? I don´t want to sound offensive, it´s just something I haven´t really experienced where I live :)

Yes, it’s very common here. Also sometimes the answer to ‘how are you’ is usually ‘I’m fine or doing ok’ even though you may not be fine. It’s about pleasantries than actually wanting to know or expecting an honest answer.
