It is very kind of you to help out your friend. Her cataract procedure must have been more extensive than the one I had, because there were no severe restrictions post-op for me. I love it when you do ephemera decorating!
Mine was no big deal either I vaguely remember not supposed to bend over, but if you just kind of squat, of course I can’t squat anymore. I’m too old and my knees are crap. I just remember not supposed to lift more than 10 pounds or something like that and a million drops that was the worst. A million drops every day, but it was no big deal didn’t stop me from driving or going anywhere after I think one or two days. I could see fine the next day. My friend was anxiously awaiting when she could get hers so she wouldn’t have to wear contacts or glasses anymore. That’s the best part. It’s great to have cataract surgery. You get your contacts built into your eyeballs. I do wear glasses to drive because I have an astigmatism and I have mono vision implants.
Good morning, Gayle! I love forgotten friends Friday. It's so much fun finding that perfect something that will finish the item. I also love the mash up fun last night. Joey does such incredible work and your pages are phenomenal. Stay safe! Love ya!!!
Good morning, Gayle. So good of you to go help your friend, you are so kind. I had cataract surgery on both eyes but I was young (36) so it wasn't too much of an issue for me. I had to take it easy for a couple of days, not bending over or lifting anything heavy. Just thought I would mention, that even though I don't comment every day, I do watch you every day and always enjoy your stories and the ideas you come up with. Hope you have a great day.
So glad your guy Mike is doing well. Keep him whistling as it is good for his lung capacity. Having good friends is so special. 3 hour lunch dates are awesome! Good crafting with you.
Lovely ephemera. I always love decorating days😊. You are being your kind self to go and help your friend. Hope you have a wonderful afternoon with her. 😊❤️
Good morning Gayle! ❤ Laundry in progress. Good time for coffee with Gayle. 😊 I am going to continue “Use It!” for 2025. My scrapbooking paper stash is ridiculous. Ladies, fair warning, when starting out making journals, “want/need it all” should not be your goal. 🤣😳 Everyone have a great crafty day! ❤
🎄Good Morning Gayle & Everyone!🎄 Oooo the Christmas To Do Box/Bag! Whenever, you create out of the “To Do Box” I get sooooo many fantastic ideas! When my great grandmother ( who still lives on her own) had her cataract surgery my mom stayed over for a few weeks to take care of her and administer eye drops as needed needed. During the week I would help in the evening and on weekends my aunt and I took turns. You’re a true sweet friend as you other friends that are helping out this lady. Bless you! Thank you for sharing all you’re talent with all of us! Have a beautiful day! Luv, Prayers & Hugz 💖🙏🏻💖
Good morning Gayle! I absolutely love watching you decorate your various pieces. You made a lot of fun pieces today. Thank you so much. Take care and I will see you tomorrow. I love you friend 😊🤗❤
Good morning! I enjoy making ephemera and having them on hand to choose from when making a journal. My favorite videos are when you’re making ephemera. Although I love ALL your videos. You’re such and inspiration and encouragement. Thanks!
Good Morning Gayle! I have been here everyday just have been running to doctor appointments! Between mine and my husband's it's a full time job some weeks! Nothing too serious though 🙌! I'm still praying for Mike and your 2 daughters. Isn't decorating so fulfilling and a feeling of accomplishment! Thank you so much for your daily videos! ❤😍
Yay the 5 year mixed media tags are ready for deployment 😂. Good morning Gayle. I hope your lunch friend's life changing news wasn't that she's moving away. Have a good weekend ❤❤❤
Gayle, I ❤ them all. My favorite is of course the naughty tag. It’s just so fun😊 I hope you have a wonderful day. I am sorry to hear that Mike is progressing, but it’s great that he works at slowing it down and he is a strong man. 💚💜💙🧡
Happy Friday and a very good morning, Gayle, you took all those scraps and made beautiful ephemera, it was a lot of fun, thanks for sharing, enjoy your day, big hugs Gayle.🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤭
Good morning Gayle & friends! How fun was this?!? I love Timmy’s people especially for my Christmas projects. And again, I learned a lesson of less is more. I struggled for 30 minutes trying to add something to a Christmas card when it didn’t need anything except a sentiment. The journal card/pocket with the stained glass window, you only added the “25” tag to. I was trying to put all the wrong “colors” on my card. And why do we let that frustrate us so much that it ruins the rest of my crafty session??!! Anyone else like that? Oh well, two trips up and down the stairs, I settle in front of the TV with a lap full of paper, punches, glue and a whole bag of peppermint patties! No, I didn’t eat them, not even one! I was making cute treats. Punching two 2 1/4 scallop circle (sandwich the Pattie between these), add a 2” circle (these circles are cardstock complimentary colors), 1 3/4 circle of pretty paper with an image I could center on the circle. Sometimes I add a bow, but there was no bow making skills to be had today! 😂😂😂 At least I got something accomplished! Hope your crafty day is going well! And Gayle, please tell your friend I’ll be praying for her. What a bonus to be able to also pup sit!! Their little paws warm our hearts and help us heal. Blessings and hugs to you all.
I’ve had both done and at my doc… they said I will get “don’t give a shit” meds for the surgery and they are so right. I was talking to the doc during the procedure as I watched RUclips to see how it’s done. They suck off the cataract fuzzy stuff and attach a permanent lense. I was lucky enough to find out my brain tolerates a near sighted lense in one eye and far sided on the other so after wearing glasses all my life, I am free from them. I’m 81 and since 2015 no glasses except sun. She will be fine but you gals are great friends to be there for her. 🥰
@@JoanneOwens1943 I have mono vision also and I love it. I don’t have to have reading glasses and I can see fine just walking around or watching TV. I do however wear glasses to drive because I have an astigmatism and because of the reading eye it helps bring that out to distance for driving.
❣Happy Friday Gayle❣ Love all you creative makes, awesome forgotten friends. Very sweet of you and Mike to help a friend out, hope she is on the mend from her eye surgery. Thoughts and and prayers for Mike on his test 🙏 Have a wonderful day, big hugs 🤗❄🎄
Good afternoon, Gayle! ❤ Such festive, beautiful, ephemera! ❤I hope your friend’s cataract surgery went well, as well as your lunch with your other friend. Sending lots of prayers for Mike. I hope you and Mike are having a fun Friday! ❤
Hi Mrs. Gayle, great ephemera today. Im so glad you are able ro help your friend, thats so nice. Have fun with Francis too. Prayers for your friend as well as you and Mr Mike. Good job on your shopping. Have a blessed day. Tfs and crafty hugs.
You are keeping me company while I address Christmas cards. Your friend is so lucky to have a group to step in and help her. You have lived up to your word of unhoard. I have tried to do the same. Hugs

☕️ Good morning Gayle and everyone!🌞👋 love forgotten friends Friday. It’s like flu min’ the switch on “The Way Back” machine. Remember the Rocky and Bullwinkle show? Yes, I’m old! But, I digress, again. I love your decorating. You are the best at knowing exactly where to place each item to make it look lovely and bright. Listening to your stories is so enjoyable. I love that you help your friends in time of need and enjoy their company often. I do want to mention that this video didn’t have closed captioning. My hearing is changing plus I’m up early when I watch your show so I like to turn down the volume so not to disturb the household in my alone time. CC helps me that way. Oh and if you drop a name or brand here and there, it helps too. I don’t have to rewind, but that just me being lazy. lol. Oh my, just remembered that Professor Peabody was the name of the guy with the way back machine! Oh dear, please excuse me and my little brain! 😂 I just went on and on today when all I wanted to say was, I loved your decorating video! Have a wonderful and blessed day everybody!🤗🫶🏼🙏🏼🎄🤶🏼😅
Have had cataract surgery. One eye blacked, the other didn’t. I didn’t find it a big deal pain-wise, just need help reaching for things and putting in drops. I have been improving rapidly from the awful flu, but I talked too much at puppet club today and now I can’t stop coughing. I started a puppet club with my little kids (kinder thru 2nd grade, sort of.). They get to manipulate the puppets while I read a story then they make their own stories and show them in the stage. Fun finishing up day in the craft room, Gayle.
Hi Gayle, fun Friday today. I do appreciate you explaining why you choose what glue you're going to use on each piece. I didn't know all of that too long ago and without helpful "veterans of the craft" like you, I would probably still making mistakes. TFS 😊

Good morning! Your a great friend to go and help with your friend and the dog! Praying for quick healing! I didn’t tell you but I fractured my shoulder in October. My left had has gotten very very strong and smart! lol! Blessings my friend! Loving these ephemera! Tfs! 💕

Yes, I was told not to bend over from the waist and not to lift anything heavy. The worst for me was keeping track of when to do the eye drops. I ended up doing a check list. lol The decorating projects turned out great. You’ll have a start of a nice start to next year’s projects. Hope you have a fun visit. Hugs.
Good Afternoon Gayle, happy Friday! How about making a Forgotten Friend Journal with ephemera you created a long time ago…I probably can do one myself, cause I enjoy making ephemera too. Have a great Friday and weekend too. 👍❄️❄️❄️
When you had your shoulder surgery was right around the time I started watching you. I remember being really impressed how much you could do with your left hand. I’ve never had shoulder surgery, but I had a frozen shoulder for about three years. That was also my right and my left hand got pretty smart too. I still do some things with my left hand out a habit, especially reaching up. My friend had multiple shoulder surgeries and a reverse shoulder replacement all kinds of stuff on her right that failed and now she’s basically left-handed because she can’t raise her right arm more than waist level.
Hi Gayle!! You may not have finished it all but what you did finish is awesome!! I got a chuckle from the last tag of the 2 men with the "Naughty" label!! My sister that I live with had cataract surgery in August - the right eye first and then 2 weeks later, the left eye. For the first 3 days after each surgery, I had to administer drops every 30 minutes during waking hours and that meant that neither of us could go anywhere!! We were literally tied at the hips so to speak!! LOL There was 5 weeks in total for drops for each eye!! We were both glad when we were finished with everything!! Take Care and TFS!! Hugs, Liz:)
Good morning! I know I am not the only Katherine in the world…but since you said hi and hugs to Katherine - I will pretend that I am the only Katherine! Lol!
Hi Claudette! There is a video on my Jimmy Joe playlist where I explain what happened with Jimmy Joe. Jimmy Joe Goes to College or something like that. Anyway, the short version is, he ate rocks. 25% of our yard is rocks. He had an incredibly expensive surgery. Came home and ate a rock. So…we gave him to the local college that trains service dogs. Folks apply to adopt the dogs when they graduate. Just a year or so ago I learned that a disabled vet got Jimmy. Well, as life sometimes creates circle, that disabled vet was the same little boy that I babysat when he was 5 years old. 🥰. Such a wonderful full circle! Jimmy is happily taking care of him and his family. Happy ending for sure! I was just meant to be his puppy momma, I guess. ❤
Hi Gayle. I'm really late to the party today. 9am eye doctor, a stop at the pharmacy, a quick stop at Hardee's to pick up lunch and sitting with my eyes closed...having my eyes dilated has never taken so long for my eyes to clear! 🙄 Anyway you gave me some ideas to help with a couple of things that had me in a quandary. I was really hoping you were going to do the little girl (that had Silent Night under the pic). I have that same image and was wondering what to do with it. I love it and don't want to mess it up by not doing it justice. Soooo, I will watch in future videos for her. 😁 TFS Hope you and Mike have a great day. 🌞
I have had both eyes done. Her eye may be a little tender and she isn’t allowed to carry anything heavy for at least a week. She should be perfectly fine to do things for herself providing she doesn’t overdo it. She will need drops in her eyes at various times during the day. This advice was from my doctors in Australia, don’t know if instructions are different in other countries. 🇦🇺
Good afternoon, Gayle! ❤ Such festive, beautiful, ephemera! ❤I hope your friend’s cataract surgery went well, as well as your lunch with your other friend. Sending lots of prayers for Mike. I hope you and Mike are having a fun Friday! ❤

May I ask Gayle, what happened to your dog, Jimmy?
Hi Donna! ❤

I've started thinking about a word for 2025 as well. I'm not set on it yet though.
Gayle do you have a system for remembering your forgotten friends? Do you have a video on it or would you mind sharing your trick?
No system really. I just look around my craft room and something will catch my eye! 😂❤
Interesting, there was no closed caption on today’s video.
Good afternoon, Gayle! ❤ Such festive, beautiful, ephemera! ❤I hope your friend’s cataract surgery went well, as well as your lunch with your other friend. Sending lots of prayers for Mike. I hope you and Mike are having a fun Friday! ❤
Good morning Gayle 💜
Morning Denise! ❤
