My dryer stopped working and as a single mom, my heart dropped. Figured out it was the leg of the switch that snapped. Found the part online, which was inexpensive, followed your video and was done in less than 10min. Back up and running again. Thanks!

I paid a Kenmore repairman more than $200 to do this. After watching the video, and buying the $10 part, I did it myself, for free. Thank you!

Thank you! I purchased my first home and every month, something requires repair. I'm a single mom on a budget, so eliminating service techs has saved me a small fortune! The part was $10. It arrived overnight from Amazon With your video, it took me less than 10 minutes to replace it. Thanks a million times

I was so discouraged a few days ago when our dryer suddenly stopped working. A few diagnostic videos later and we found the problem. Ordered the part (and a multimeter since that would've been useful in diagnosing the problem) and received it yesterday. While my husband's been at work, I've been procrastinating attempting to fix it on my own, but this video was so straightforward and helpful!
I got it fixed SO fast, I shrieked when it worked I was so happy. Thank you for your help 😊❤

I'm an old girl and a handyman offered to "fix" my dryer for $125. I remember my brother-in-law making comments about dryers being simple machines. So I watched your video, ordered the part (paid a lot more cause I ordered from Sears) and with the help of my son's muscle, we fixed it ourselves. Saved $100 - THANKS!!

A huge thank you for your help. I can't thank you enough. I know you saved me tons of money. My bf looked at me as if I were crazy for even attempting to try to fix the dryer myself. He called me crazy for not calling a service tech. The part cost me approximately $17 and I fixed it all by myself. Big Hugs!

Thank you so much for posting this vid. We recently noticed that our dryer would continue to spin even with the door open. Then on Sunday it stopped working all together. Came across your channel and showed my husband. We went and got another door switch, installed and were good to go. It only cost us $25 were as Sears would have charged us more. Thanks again and you have a new subscriber for life.

Our dryer wouldn't start. My wife pushed the start button inside the door and it went up and disappeared. I had no idea what to do or to recover it. I opened up the dryer top with with help from your video unscrewed the switch, which, turns out, had literally come apart (my wife is that strong). The glue had come apart and the black switch lever had fallen into the bowels of the machine. Thanks to your video I was able to locate the missing piece and put it back. I used rubber bands to keep the split switch together, and put everything back and lo, worked a treat. After receiving lots of conjugal abuse ("Will you try to fix the drier? Yep. Ah, you'll just sit ****kin' there, and this will never get fixed!"), the trouble and strife was incredibly delighted to have the drier fixed again. Ah. What price conjugal bliss. Thanks for the help. That was a life-saver, or at least an ear-saver!

We did change the order and removed the screws holding the switch in place before we disengaged the wire harness and the same when putting it back on, we engaged the wire harness first before screwing the switch in place. This way we didn't have to worry about making sure the part didn't fall inside. Thanks so much!!!!

Video was very helpful. Only issue we had was when trying to reinstall the screws through the lid and the filter chute. Finally figured out the chute had moved backward just enough that one screw hole wouldn't align. Took a small jeweler's screwdriver through the other hole that lined up and pulled on that until the other hole lined up. Also used the same screwdriver to unsnap the wiring harness. Couldn't manage to do it with the putty knife. Saved big bucks DIO (doing it ourselves)!

Good video, especially helpful was the part pulling on the back, so the front latches popped better! Thanks!
