Before I was diagnosed with MS I was going through a very stressful period in my life. I also had a few bouts of trauma, both physical and mental. I was hit by a driver while crossing a street on my bicycle. A month later I was diagnosed with MS after I had a MRI done. I didn't believe I had MS, but Lymes disease. I have gone through more stress since my diagnosis and I know for a fact stress exacerbates my symptoms and I believe that stress and trauma is what triggers this disease.

I agree, I think a high allostatic load is a major cause of ms but doctors seem to separate the mind from the body but they both work together. Until doctor's pay more attention to this correlation, there will continue to be diseases, especially autoimmune diseases with "unknown causes". I am hopeful that the relatively young field of psychoneuroimmunology will help prove this correlation.

I believe it can actually cause MS. I started with the symptoms after a tremendous period of stress in my life.

The best thing I’ve ever done for my stress was take up daily meditation and weekly Reiki. It has taken away all my stress and most pain I’ve dealt with my Ms.

I met a guy at my last infusion who was in a wheel chair with his legs strapped in and only his left arm and hand worked which he used to control the special wheel chair. He told me he had a bad attack from the stress when going through his marriage breakup which put him in the wheel chair. I am terrified as I am at the start of my marriage breakup and already stressed to the hilt.

My diet is way low in saturated fat and take meds and supplements, exp. vitamin D of 6k IUs and B12, and others. Do your research. Best of health to you ❣️ all!

I have ms! And when I get really stressed out it causes immediate exacerbations of my symptoms!! Not something that comes 6 months later it happens right away!! It's almost as bad as heat!! I think we need some new experts here!! The only experts on M.S. are the patients!!! I bet this guy talking does not have M.S.!!! He's just talking mumbo jumbo he learned in school!! He knows not!!

This is an 11 year old video and needs to be taken off of the internet because it is well known that stress can and under long periods of time WILL cause a relapse which fucks everyoneslife.
