In a sport where fighters are using dead parents for trash talk and threatening drug testing agents, Sandhagen is such a wholesome breath of fresh air.
People always ask me who my favourite fighters are. I always say "I don't really have 'favourite fighters' as such, but Cory Sandhagen and Charles Olivera are definitely up there."
I always talked about how good his movement is. Then I started bashing him because of his last fight. But then I found out about the injury and gave him a pass 😁

What? 21 is exactly what he described you shoot free-throws or 3 pointers(most played this way) and if you miss then it's a free for all and when you score you go to a free throw/3 pointer and shoot until you miss and repeat. Rebounder gets ball.

People who are saying 'Dagestani privilege' forgets Khabib needed 10 ufc win streak (4 of them were top 10 ranked) to get his first title shot. Khabib changed a lot of things so now no.10 ranked undefeated Umar fighting no.2 ranked Cory is natural compared to no.11 ranked O'Malley fighting no.1 ranked Petr Yan.
They're allowed to take steroids and fight once a year
It took Khabib that long cause 1. He was out of the sport for 2 years cause of injuries 2. Cause he pulled out the Ferguson bout for 209 cause he cut too much weight and 3. Cause he pulled out of countless fights.
Apples and oranges. Khabib fought strikers like Edson Barbosa, Michael Johnson, and then got Al Iaguinta on short notice before the Conor fight. He also pulled out of multiple top contender match ups too and was not active.
omalley vs yan is the exception not the rule
The only reason omalley was able to fight yan was because there was literally no one else at the time for yan to fight every other 135r was booked, and bruh umar literally has zero ranked wins, and he’s getting a title elimination bout over Jose Aldo whose beaten 3 top ten bantamweights, and 1 top fifteen, it’s just bs dude straight up 😂 you can’t defend it and i like umar and think he’s gonna beat Cory.

Not really, Merab and Sean will be fighting either in late August or September, which means he would have to wait until like February 2025 meaning he wouldn’t have fought in almost 2 years. He needs to be active

I think that illia is the most well rounded ufc fighter we have seen. I don’t even like him but he has some of the cleanest striking. World class bjj and a solid wrestling base

I feel like Ariel has fallen off so much over the past year. It went from me looking forward every Monday and Wednesday to mma hour to my fast forwarding whenever he talks during an interview
Dagi fighters are always accused of being crotch sniffers, when Umar is primarily a striker.
But let's not forget that it was Cory who crotch sniffed Rob Font 100% of the time for 5 rounds last year.
