I’m my years of experience, I’ve found affordable substitutes to T05 are: Vega Pro, Rakza7, Tibhar MX-P. As most people say, MXP doesn’t last as long. I give Vega Pro a nose ahead of Rakza7. I have to disagree with FastArc-G1. The catapult or bounciness is not as easy as the others. It’s a bit muted. But it plays great on a fast blade
I went from Tenergy 05 to MXP. I have now settled on Vega Pro or Vega X both brilliant rubbers for the price compared to Tenergy. I prefer them as well which helps
Fast arc / Tenergy 05 / Dragon grip I have used them all... I currently use Fast arc on the rear and Stiga Dragon Grip on FH. The DNA Stiga Dragon Grip is superior. I find it soaks up an opponents loop because it's not a tacky rubber. The *Control* is OUTSTANDING Other league players can immediately feel the effect. I no longer shout out about it, it's my secret for immediate improvement this season..ps can loop easily hitting the top of the ball..very very grippy. Dragon grip is the equivalent to 09c Happy looping everyone
What a top video Steve. Shocking tacky Tenergy!!! Wow!!!! Must think the punters are daft!!! Ive changed to Xiom now anyway. Strady blade and J&H 47.5 both sides. What a cracking bat it is. Durable too. Gets pretty tough treatment so longevity it key,for price too. Have converted a fellow club player to use Xiom now. Strady blade half the cost of a Viscaria!! Crazy difference. Lets not knock the Viscaria, its a TREMENDOUS blade. Even FZD used one. So did Wang Chuqin. Zhang Jike adored his. Great blade. Awful company with prices Europeans have to pay. With Xiom, get great products, that are durable. Not made of money so every little helps. Have learned so much from your videos. Great stuff. Leo
Mima Ito uses Farstarc 1 on her forehand and Moristo po on backhand. Seen interview she gave, adoring her Nittaku forehand rubber. I know several who do rate it for strength too. Leo
I went from Tenergy 05 to Nittaku Fast Arc G1 Max thickness, (both FH + BH) and I've gotten on really well with it. Highly recommended. Subjectively, slightly less speed, but much better feel, great spin, nice arcs on topspins.
@@MrMagJon I have been playing with Butterfly outer ALC blades since last 10 years. I have used Fastarc on Timo Boll ALC and ZJK ALC with similar results.
I have Butterfly Tenergy 05 and 05fx, Nittaku Fastarc G1, Xiom Vega Pro, Victas V15 extra, Xiom Vega Europe, Butterfly Rozena, Joola Dynaryz, Tibhar Aurus and other... I love Xiom Vega Pro 👍
Probably Fastarc G1 is closest, as this is what I've heard from players and coaches. Mima uses it. MXP is very close too but terrible durability and a little fast. The others would be Hammond Z2 and Rakza X(X). If you're a club player Rozena is best. The performance is very close to Tenergy. Nothing can beat Tenergy, Dignics or Hurricane. Unless you're sponsored and can get special stuff. Players would save a lot of money if they just settled on Tenergy or Hurricane instead of trialling 100 different rubbers 😅
There's not much between the G-1 and Vega Pro spin wise in our experience. The Jekyll & Hyde is a bit spinner as it's a newer generation of rubber developed for the newer ABS ball.
@@CustomTableTennis thank you! I'm currently using h3 commercial on both sides but I'm not a fan on backhand. I tried my mates tenergy and it was brilliant for backhand (h3 was better for forehand) so I am going to try fastarc g1 on backhand with the nittaku hurricane 3 blue sponge on the forehand at Christmas.
I wish it was possible to get a blade with the same composition as the DHS Hurricane 301 with a large straight (ST) handle similar to the Stiga ST handle. I have tried the Yinhe m201 and the handle there is also too small for me.

Funny I was only looking for this yesterday.
Nittaku Fastarc's are made in Germany by ESN. Check the packet closely. I believe the Z2 Hammond's are made in Japan.
Nevermind he corrected

100% agree. Fastarc G1 is an amazing rubber for its price. I tried both G1 and C1 and I liked them both.
What kind of blade are you playing with?

I'm not really bothered about the speed but which one is closest spin wise with the most durability

Tenergy 05 sponge hardness is about 45 degrees on ESN scale

What about FX alternatives?
Tibhar fx-s
the closest to tenergy05 from xiom are Xiom Vega X..speed and spin really close
Yes, that's a great option as well.
I'm sorry but that's a whole lot of nothing if you're not going to talk about how they play who cares
