As an ex Army guy, i had served in RR at sopore/baramulla. I can assure you the pro pakistan politics then and police corruption had made our work that much more difficult . Most times when Army would apprehend an anti social or terrorist sympathiser and hand them over to the local police( thats the procedure), the police would take money from him and let him free the next day, making all our efforts go in vain. Also the local government support to anti nationals was mind boggling to the extent that a big portion of Army’s efforts were nullified wherever possible by them. Iam glad and happy about the present situation where the military can atleast operate without fearing backlash from own civilian authorities. Iam an apolitical guy but i support what BJP has done there, the other major party had done so much damage in the past. Period

Yes the local population has to face problems due to regular searches etc, but that is unavoidable when you are stuck in a conflict zone. Most locals understand that and supported us in our efforts because even they knew we were just doing our duty.
In fact we have nothing to do with Pakistan as they r having there own problems but as a true soldier u have to admit here that common people are facing day to day brutalities not only from armed forces as well as militants , apart from that majority of the local police are corrupted and make fake cases as citizen of srinagar i should admit here that infrastructural development is accelerating but unemployment and unplanned urbanization is on the rise we can't blame only government at centre past state governments have looted the resources... I recently went to Kashmir. The infrastructure was world-class(talking about highways, tunnels, and connectivity). I talked to the villagers there. They were happy with the government, especially due to increased tourism after Article 370 removal. One of them literally said, "Modi Sahab ne hamare liye bohot kuch kiya hai."

Great Video! Just want to point out the maps of newly formed Union territories of J&K and Ladakh used in the video are the proposed map before abrogation of Article 370. The actual map has Gilgit Baltistan as a part of Ladakh and not J&K. If you can correct that, it would be great!
