    Started on one yesterday. Thank you for your tutorial. I only have two more to make and add on. I'm very happy with your instructions and the ease of beading it together. I started with a different tutorial that used delica and 11/0 seed beads and I only got one side done in the same amount of time. They are equally beautiful but yours is much faster! I am making a few as gifts. Thanks again.

      @@bermudagirl50 I guess I don’t know the names of the beads, but those beads are not regular seed beads with the rounded edges. These beats have a short tubular shape. I guess I don’t quite know the names of all the beads. I’m just finding it difficult to find these different sizes in that little cylinder size bead whatever it’s called.

    Beautiful ornaments! I'll have to add some silver lined 6/0's to my next bead order.
    I'm a newbie to 3D beaded projects. I was confused at first because I'm used to beginning from the center of most projects (pendants and earrings). Once I realized you were working from a valley of the star, it was like an "ah ha" moment. The valley looks more like herringbone to me. So cool to see how mixing stitches comes out so beautifully. TFS!

I could have used some instruction on arm 4 on where to put the red beads as you need to know which will get a rondelle. I'll put this project down for now and bezel a fancy stone or something for a break! 🥴

I can read patterns but watching someone do it first takes the guess out of it. I question myself "am I doing this right" and NO I didn't, I watched this and a light went off. Before zipping up the last side, you could stuff it. Just keep in mind you'll be able to see it through the holes, so you might want to use something colorless like plastic wrap or a cut-up baggie (better in your star than in the ocean!)

    • @katielyb
      @katielyb 5 лет назад +1

      I usually end up having to go back through the beads that connect each unit to tighten them up. I try to go through the opposite way that I went the first time but that's not always an ideal scenario. If I don't then my stars don't hold their shape well. One or two of each point end up caving in.

    My brain is cramping up trying to figure this pattern out. That's on me, not you. I think it's the way in which I learn things. I'm the type of learner who needs oral, visual and pattern description. I'm a college grad. However, that means nothing when it comes to beading. You have to think your way through it. This is definitively a pattern in which you have to concentrate. I tried working on it while watching TV. Bad idea. LOL!!

      I totally get what you mean. I always end up having to either pause videos after each individual step or rewind to watch it again. It's gotten a lot easier now that I've been beading for over a year. After learning several bead weaving techniques I can even see the next steps sometimes. You'll get the hang of it so don't get discouraged.
