Growing up My father always told me a story about when he was a young boy riding horses with my grandfather in about 1960-61 by weevers needle. He told me he met an old man out by a spring where they stopped to water their horses. (Now Pipers spring.)They had heard of gun fights in the area and were concerned, but That old man had showed them a gold shaft by the spring. He remembers that old man showing him gold nuggets that he had found as big as his fist. For years I tried to research who this was and this story shows more details about that it was Piper. My dad has gone back over the years and that gold shaft is now filled in by Forrest service. Incredible history. Thanks for sharing.

I also can discern a potential for Political reaistance with a Spanish Monarch, for the evidence of extreme Greed witnessed in the actions of the individuals the Spanish Crown sent throughout the Americas.

What the Indoeuropeans did in North America -
May ut be an incentive for Practicing the Hugher Mind, Maturing of Mind and actions.

When I was in my early twenties I read a book called "The Killer Mountains." Can't remember the author. So, in about 1975, being from Idaho and used to cold weather, I chose to visit the Superstition Mountains during the winter months. If I remember correctly, the temperature was in the 40 to 50-degree range, not bad. Anyway, for nearly three weeks in January, I explored areas around all the famous places like Miner's Needle, Weaver's Needle, Peralta Canyon Trail, Barkley Ranch, Bluff Springs, etc. Near Bluff Springs I found a couple of hidden stashes with things like water, recurve bows, ammunition, backpacks, tools, and ropes. Several of the stashes and/or prospects I found were just out in the open and some in small alcoves, caves, or rocky areas. I didn't touch anything, and I never once saw another person; there were no hikers/tourists at all. I saw several mule deer, peccary, and one cougar while in there. Being aware of the Superstition's violent history I did pack a pistol, but I had to see it for myself. I got home safe with nothing but photos, a good cactus spline infection, and some golden memories LOL...
