It was the same for us, we had booked in to see several properties over a couple of days stay. There was a mess up at one estate agent’s, so whilst I was sorting it out hubby was flicking through a folder of houses, we arranged to see some of those too. As soon as we drove through the gate we knew it was the one.

I vote for the lighter blue!

Definitely not any of those colours. How about a lovely sage colour. Your choice though, not mine, it's about your taste, after all, you have to live with the outcome. Good luck ☺️🏡

I think the lighter blue or lighter still. The other blue looks like left over from the lounge. Nice to have a different colour for the kitchen. I also like someone's idea of sage green.

Thanks for your advice which we followed, we found our house in the Charente by looking at local immobiliers websites as the owners of our house wanted to keep the costs down and couldnt afford to advertise on the English websites.

What a beautiful morning.. Sunshine & DAVE. 😄
Please accept one vote for the lighter blue kitchen paint 🎨 (I have to add.. a friend painted her kitchen a lovely shade of burgundy but it was a disaster. For some reason it made all the white countertops look grubby and made food look unappealing. A trick of the light? She changed it as soon as possible.)
    Cheers =^··^=

Exactly how we did our property , we accidentally got lost with the estate agent and stumbled across our property. The views did it for us. we are in a Hamlet with farming all around. Any of those colours look good on the kitchen wall

I prefer the 1st light blue paint or the dark blue colour from the lounge the purple doesn't look right

The darker blue will feel warmer and can often make a small space seem bigger, lovely to see Dave

I like your priorities: roof, working toilet, land. Living in a wreck is not worth the sacrifice. You found a gem and you work at it, constanty. I like the lighter blue. Good for contrast with the lounge blue. More color can be added inexpensively. I have royal blue plastic bins on my open pantry shelves. Happy for Dave's cameo apperance. I enjoy your walks through your acres.

You are amazing and you inspired us to create our RUclips channel with how incredibly natural and real you are. We went through a really tough patch last year, we lost our farmland and ended up renting a really rundown patch of land. Its nothing like what you have but creating the videos is spurring us on and keeping us going. One day, you never know but we might be in a position to have a farm again. We can only live in hope.

Nice to see Fred, I always hear you better when you use him.(outside) I trust you with the colors, but I think you should think where you can use that other blue too. Also over the winter maybe you should think of what kind of resting/viewing place you are going to make in in your bird park. Remember Dave likes to get to close to you. You sure look like you are having fun in your work.

Hello winter is a good time for that nesting feeling and my creative juices start flowing but finding the perfect color can be daunting...I try to use my intuition and it usually works out my own kitchen resembles a 'painted bunting' probably because winters are long here lol...in my opinion the lighter blue (cerulean?) is a nice reflection to the white tiles good luck!

Your kitchen is small. Therefore a lighter colour than your samples. Will make it look a bit bigger. Dark colours bring the walls in. Hope this helps you Dave.

There is nothing wrong with the colours however in a small room it's about the tone/depth of colour. Have you tried adding white to all and re-test ? Good luck.

Hello and thank you very much for your video / blog. A few questions (and hope you can help - if possible): Language skills / Culural awareness & the legal side of living plus buying property in France. How did you start this journey ? (night school or just learning by ear )? What are the legal issues from your point of view (difficulty to hardest) plus, how to understand them and apply them ? Lastly, of course there must have been that honeymoon period when all is new and fresh, but sometimes the new reality kicks in. How do you cope with neighbours if any) and the surrounding community (going to the shop etc, etc)? Hope you can help. I went to France for the first time this year (Paris) then Nice. It would be nice to find out a bit more about that pratical side of life in France. Thank you.

I found in Hungary the prices of houses and land is increased for foreigners , Hungarians pay less, is that the same in France?

    • @GoingsoloinFrance

I'm not sure someone eager to sell their property would be holding out for a higher price from a foreigner. On average it takes two years to sell a place here.
