Tony Liu thank you for taking your time to explain Bruce Lee's story. Your words are so important to all those people who always question about Bruce Lee ability in real fight. You know Bruce Lee well and your words are trustable!
Wow, brilliant interview. Thanks so very much for sharing. Tony Liu still looks so cool and elegant after all these years. Bruce Lee is indeed the best. 唯一伟大的龙哥。为了他早学会点儿中文。
I didn't recognise him from the thumb nail..Seems our Bruce helped another man in his film career!..So good to see Tony looking so well and giving an all positive talk on Bruce..Thanks Tony..and for the upload..
Thank you for putting these up Onionsan. Very inspiring to me. I feel like some of the most dedicated Bruce fans still haven't seen these interviews. If you pay attention to these interviews, they let you in on more of Bruce's feats. It also interesting to see the perspective of those close to him as a friend and those who sort of mostly only worked with him. Very motivational.
Much Respect to Mr. Tony Liu!! You know every time I see him in Shaw Bros. flicks etc. I can tell he's learned alot from Bruce just by his demeanor and then some. Now I would say....Tony Liu is one in a million who had mad respect for Bruce by far! There's a reason as the old saying goes...."Men Age Like Fine Wine" I'll let you all simmer on that note. =)
Great post! I've never seen this interview/recording. An FYI to all you confused people in the comment section: Tony said it had been 20 years since he worked with BL; That would mean this video was recorded in the early 90s.

I remember Tony Liu was in Bruce Lee's movies as his sidekick, depicted as brash and often impetuous. He is now an older and wiser gentleman. Bruce Lee would have been proud to see him.
THANK U FOR YOUR COMMENTS ON BRUCE LEE. !!!! . THEY ARE IMPORTANT TO CLEAR UP ALL THOSE HATEFUL LIES OUT THERE !!!! . FROM LOSERS !!! . THAT NEVER KNEW HIM !!! . 👍💖🙏🏾😎...
I remember him he's the one who fought with john saxon, while they are betting when Tony will get knocked out. Big boss he was the iceplant owner's son. In way of the dragon he was one of the waiters of that restaurant.
During my university days in Edinburgh Scotland, the student union, show a movie in one of the lecture theatre for student living in campus for free every Sunday night . The patrons were mostly Asian students, During every Sunday nite half an hour before showtime group of mostly Asian students would be queing and waiting in the first few front rows waiting for the lecture doors to be opened. There was one particular Sunday night, when a group of us arrived at the lecture theatre for the usual cinema viewing. To our astonishment, there were already a huge crowd of Norwegian students ahead of us queuing for the show. The first time for any show wherebye the the front rows were occupied by non asian students . Needless to say the show that evening was Enter the Dragon, starring Bruce Lee.Very obviously the Norwegian students were there to see their hero, Bruce Lee. More astonishing was the fact that the sizeable Norwegian student population in my campus would normally during lecture times always kept to their own kind ,rarely mixing outside their own group, they are big, strong and very impressive in stature with average height above 6feet, they are very proud of their Viking heritage.Quite unbelievable Bruce Lee was their hero. That event was one of the proudest moment for a Chinese in campus. Mind you those were the days in the late 70s. As a postgraduate Nigerian roommate of mine at that time first comment the first time he met me was, 'back in Nigeria before i came to Edinburgh, the only thing i knew about a Chinese is,chinese takeaway and Bruce Lee'.
I’ve always had that same thing in my character where I treated everyone with respect even as a kid before I knew what Bruce Lee was. But if someone treated me with disrespect I would get fuming mad. This temper I’ve been working on for countless years. I’ve discovered that when you treat those with respect who have no respect for others this humbles them because they are respected. Out of all the actors who worked with Bruce in his films, Tony Liu appeared the most as he did 4 (Big Boss, Fists of Fury, Way of the Dragon, and Enter The Dragon). The rest did either 2 or 3.
Dang...the story of Tony's actor friend who didn't like Bruce or see what the big deal was watching Big Boss in an American theater, seeing the black audience members stand up when Bruce appeared, and being compelled to stand himself-that kinda says it all, doesn't it?

Hello Tony, It's been a long time. You knew Bruce before me, I met him in LA back in 1970. Good that you verify Bruce's stunning speed and explosive power. I have commented on a few posts in an attempt to tell it like it is. However, there will always be wise guys trashing him... Allan 余雅倫
