Mixed emotions... those cut scenes really hitting it out the park, barely holding on to XP12, by the way very impressed how far they have reached...but if LR don't keep bringing their 'A-game' MSFS would leave them very, very far behind. Only time would tell.
Yea I think xplane will always have its cult following (I’m one so it’s all good), but they def need to stay on top of it. I’d still rather fire up xp11 than anything else right now.
A huge part of the appeal of previous versions of MSFS (FSX in particular) was the various missions e.g. Amazon, rescuing folk, delivering goods. I'm glad they are going to be the focal point of FS2024. For many, there needs to be more meaningful things to do.
They're not cut scenes, MSFS doesn't have cut scenes, it's actual game play footage. And you won't need the best GPU on the market because Microsoft has already said they will be doing a lot of the heavy lifting on their servers and dumping some of the demand on your CPU's multi-threading capabilities. Happy flying and Blue Skies all 😊

This is.a very nice Disney movie/game I prefer to actually immerse myself in aviation and continually hone my skills on XP. MS lost me for good when they abandoned FSX
@flightsimguides I have 3080 Ti, so not much better. I skipped 4000 series, as I don't trust that new 12v power connector. It's a fire risk IMHO. Hope it's gone back to old connector in the 5000 series.

@@marian8757I think they would have done that by now for the current sim.im guessing but I think they're looking at the future and the latest high end cards in the pipeline.
Is MS too woke for getting a Combat Sim going again? I miss that. I downloaded DCS once but only got as far as the clunky controls programming. X Plane had/has the best system for configuring your controls.
lol they might be, never thought of that. Xplane makes control configuration so simple and intuitive. Msfs gets a thumbs down in that dept for me for sure.
Graphics look great. But this is a clear indication that MS treat fun and good graphics as priority over realistic flight model and full cockpit sim building
Oh yea this is just a video game…. Cool idea but we’ll see where it goes. Neat concept and it’ll prob do well for the gamers out there but I doubt it’ll last. Actual pilots who want to train will use xplane. Imo.

Yea, so far I'm going to stick with General Aviation and XP. Someday we'll do that coffee thing and talk about it ;)
For sure!
Thank god I went with the Xbox series X so I can happily run this without needing a mega spec, mega $$$ PC.
Sure. But it will look better on a high end PC
@@flightsimdeskuk right…. Wondering just how great the Xbox will run this behemoth.

Better start doing the lottery to afford the massive PC to run this
I think it's aimed at the next high end cards due out soon.
I feel like my 3080 is so outdated already, lol
@@flightsimguidesYes,that's what i have the 4090 will be replaced soon with the new 500 cards.

Nope, you still have FS2020/X-Plane/etc for that. MS ain't about to drop the serious sim userbase.
