This is the perfect recipe and I’ve been around the block! I like my whip cream and filling a little sweeter so I’ll add not quite double the confectionery sugar… usually to taste! Thank you for posting!!
I love that you left in the mistakes, too small of bowl, dropping the pie.. this type of content resonates with people. Nothing worse than trying to follow a video where everything is picture perfect and you're stumbling through a chaotic mess at home, makes you feel like you're screwing everything up.
In KY this is known as Lighthouse peanut butter pie, except with cool whip. I think Lighthouse had been a restaurant. This is one of my fave recipes to make because it’s so easy and delicious. My family loves it. I use a graham cracker crust.

Try finding True Whip in your grocery store. It has several varieties - even dairy free which I use when making pies for my son who is lactose intolerant. Tastes great and much better than Cool Whip.

It's easier if you cut two (2) slices when you first slice your pie. Then you can remove a slice much easier.

Good recipe but you need to be careful as I found a couple relatives that were allergic to homemade whipped cream that way.
