It's a stunning little painting, Liron...you have captured their conversation forever! Love watching your process and I'm so grateful that you are capable of talking us through it.
I’ve been working on a painting of my cat in bright sunlight for weeks…just couldn’t get it right. Watched this demo this morning and, using your techniques, boom I got it!! Thanks Liron!
The highlights and values are excellent. The figures are so genuine, lifelike, you can almost hear them talking. This is the first time I realized by not meeting the edges, you are creating highlights. It is inspiring to watch you paint and explain the process. Thanks for another great video.
Thank you very much for this! I have a habit of drawing going full realistic, but I want to bring some looseness to my style and learn techniques that can speed up my workflow at the same time. Your video was super straight to the point and informative, love how you explain the logic behind color choices and values. You just gained a new suscriber!
WOW, Liron, I watched you regularly over the past few years (and commented occasionally), but I moved to a farm last year and I've been busy every minute. I haven't gotten to paint or had time to watch painting videos. Animal husbandry videos took precedence for sure. I enjoyed watching you from your early days and seeing your progress from picture to picture. But this big jump I see with a year's absence, seeing your confidence in painting quickly and loosely, and your ability to interpret and paint the scene into such a realistic painting so quickly and adroitly has practically blown my mind this morning. Hopefully next winter I'll be able to make time to follow your teachings and move forward the way you have. Thank you for all you do to share and encourage the rest of us!
Thank you so much Cindy! 😁🙏🏼 I hope things are going well on the farm, must be hard yet rewarding work 💪💪 Keep it up and the vids will always be here for you to paint from when you got the time 🎨
I just found you!! I’m loving following you along painting it really makes me move fast and not get bogged down with details please make more flower follow alongs and trees scenes!! Thank you
Very helpful Liron, I love the clarity of these unfussy figures that capture the effect of light so beautifully. Great to watch the process of you achieving it.
I'm always so impressed by the Alla-Prima and loose style in watercolor. I do weird surrealistic art so I tend to make everything very detailed and hyper realistic. I feel that if I am painting a man with his elbow stretched out really long and rolled up into a wheelbarrow that if I do it loose no one will know what the heck is going on, LOL!! I love how it came out Liron, VERY well done!!!
Haha great way of describing it 😂 It's all about the big shapes for me (check out the posterized image in the description box)! As long as I don't lose sight of that - I'll do fine ^_^
Just amazing. You make it look so easy but it starts with a great drawing, followed by an unbelievable mastery of how the colors dry. Thanks for sharing. Shavuot Tov
It would never have occurred time to go that grey, especially with watercolor, I really love it. I mostly paint florals but I can still apply principals that you talk about to that subject as well. You are a great teacher! My previous experience is with oil painting so I am finding your instruction so helpful.
Love the painting and the process. Nice drawing as well.. The result is some kind of nostalgic to me in some way, I can't express it perfectly. Let's say magic
Another great demo, very interesting finished piece. I usually watch all your vids as soon as they come out but I forget to comment on them, so I'm commenting on all of them today 😅
Liron, a question aboout the course realis you offer. I'm probably in the intermediate level of watercolor, could the course be of use to me? Or should i go for another one you offer? Thank you in advance!
Haha 😁 It’s the easiest thing once you get a feel for wet in wet, and the water:paint ratio! The more challenging part is mixing the dark paint fast enough while everything is constantly drying 😂
Thank you! Haha the wells or mixing areas? 😂 Wells - probably due to bad lighting when filming this specific vid. Mixing areas - in this particular vid it's all so gray, so my mixes look very gray / black. Natural colors tend to be very muted, and it's rare to find strong individual colors. Hope that answers the question 😉🙏🏼
Thanks! Yes, everything looks black except one of the wells has a little bit of red. Do you have a video on the colors you like in your palette?@@LironYan
@@templekeepernd I have a few, but it's very simple - I mostly use 3 primary colors - blue, red and yellow. And I like having a cooler and a warmer version of each. So the gist of it is the Daniel Smith Essentials Introductory set (: amzn.to/37R2ZI5

came here to ask what paints you used and DAAAANG daniel smith?? really? how in the crepe-lovin' hell do you get them to cooperate so well?? mine flow all over the place and obliterate the borders of the sections. misbehaving badly.
Haha interesting! What paper are you using? I find paint in general is more unruly with hot press smooth paper. Same with pulp paper. Cold press 100 cotton is way more forgiving. Let me know! (:
@@LironYan strathmore coldpress actually! also a strathmore vision journal both smooth and toothed. they are just wild and wiley. maybe i'm using too much water :) yeah i don't think i've been using anything that is cotton.... a little spendy, when i'm already over-broke from buying a million DS SCH and WN tubes.... ha

That's AWESOME 😁😁
So happy it helped!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
I love the light and shadow contrast. It really draws your attention into the areas. Thank you.
Thank you 😊🙏🏼 Will try and do more scenes of that style
Mind blown! Actual magic when yuo first realise what you are looking at!
Haha the magic of watercolor 😉🎨
I like how you shaded the skin color in dark colors so smoothly
Thank you! The colors here are surprisingly dark when you actually analyze them 😁
Many fear going that dark - but it's the way to go for!
I don’t know how all your paints and mixes look like black to me, your final painting has so much subtlety and color in them!
There’s a lot of nuance in the mixes (:
But it could also be the camera’s fault 😛
My first thought was "What a mess!". But obviously it's a functional mess... ;-)
Just what I aspire to Liron, loose but believable and recognizable. Magic.
Thank you Barbara, you can do it! 😊🎨
You're a wizard!! 🤩 thanks for this helpful video!
Excellent work, as always.
This is the style I love. Simple and expressive.
Amazing how such abstract shapes connect to a subject
Thank you 🙏😊

Yes! However this one is the BaoHong Academy cold press (:

My go to for these types of details and accuracy is the Escoda Barroco brush, size 16 (:
