Came back to this today because the kit on my zetec car is nearly done down at FSWERKS and only final tuning is left. Except I have a fully built motor, more boost, and better brakes (Baer front, SVT rear). This video always gets me hyped! Thanks again, -c
To clarify, stock motor can handle upto 230whp reliably on the zetec... Fswerks provides everything needed, with 42lb injectors etc etc. I went custom with mine. The stock manifold will be the downfall of the flow for the exhaust. Mines log manifold with 3" downpipe. The 200 zx3 needs svt or 05 focus spindles to run those brakes the brand is called massivespeed. They run the newer model mustang GT calipers and rotors. I will be using the 05 spindles with SVT calipers paired with hawk pads and drilled and slotted rotors. (Massive speed sells the whole brake kit but I don't want to have to buy mustang brakes and drill front rotors to match bolt pattern) these are great cars for what they are and extremely cheap. You can buy a fully built motor from focus-power and your stock fuel pump with KB boost-a-pump can make closer to 350whp. The lsd is a must not just because it's better but the stock open diff will act like a hand grenade anything over 200whp and driving hard. Im going to be getting the mfactory lsd (difference between 750 and 1200 in cost. Can't wait to get mine fully done and try my hands at some autocross. Wish more people would buy and modify these cars to create more in the market. 2100lbs is promising considering mine is gutted too wonder if he is going to go carbon fiber in the hatch and lighten another couple pounds. Also with his set up he can run full brembo gt series setup. I have been conversating with ceika brakes as well. They have brakes but their market is geared toward the UK market but 2 piece rotors and brembo style 4 or 6 pot brakes make a good difference. Wondering how the wheel bearings are doing with the heat also. Awesome cars!
The same transmission has been in this car for quite a while and now the car has a built motor with it making about 330WHP. We'll see how long it lasts.
The mtx75 transmission is a very strong transmission there is people running full built drag cars and the only thing that they had to do to the transmission to get it to hold the power and we're talking like 600-horsepower here is a upgraded clutch for the power and a limited-slip differential which this car already has
no lol its a ford with a ford engine, you allready have hondas (or acura, the actual usa version) this is the 2nd comment ive seen saying "So BaSiCaLlY a HonDA CIvic" lmao
The Driver's Perspective I know that I asked to you because I looking for this kit too but FSWERK left a warning massage in red letter is kit is only for track I looking for daily driving. I can use is kit for daily driving yes or no? You are the expert in track!
jpirel79 I think this kit would be just fine for street use. In fact I bet it’s better than most kits since it uses the factory manifold. The reason they have that warning is for California customers. Where are you based?
Yeah after that they just have turbos and bolt ons for the ST. I guess they figured making a turbo kit for an MK3 focus is pointless since a turbo model is available

Lots of great information here, thanks for sharing! I am not as intimately familiar with the platform and I was not aware of all those little details.
Love the focus and that blue Miata ND in the back is beautiful XD.
I've driven the blue ND before a few times on this channel, no formal videos just hot laps. The wrap color is stunning in the sun.
Wish fswerks made a kit for my SVT focus. I have to do the 100% diy version.
The owner of this car previously had an SVT, rad car!
Talk to Tom Lesperance at Focus Power. Here is a link to his SVT kit: focus-power.com/product/svt-diy-turbo-kit/
I have a kit 2.0 turbo
You can use their Zetec kit on the SVT...
Right on man!!
Tx for the video!!
I almost bought this car.
It's a cool piece of tuner history and very well put together.
Btw, the brake kit is most likely the Massive Speed System bbk.
2100 lbs. Wow I'm going to gut mine !!!
Do it!
Would be interesting to turbo the ST variation that came with the 2.3l instead of the 2.0
My understanding is the stock gearbox can't withstand the extra power for too long. Any experience or opinion on that?

@@TheDriversPerspective good to know. Thanks for the reply
The mtx75 is a great trans, stock form can handle power it's the autos that were trash at handling any power.

Hey bro , I just bought a ford focus zx3 07 2.0L plz share a link for a turbo and exhaust system
Just search up fswerks
So basically the Focus ZX3 is the USA version of the Honda Hatchback...but with a B20 lol already installed. I use to own a Focus svt...very fun car.
Yup, basically. Driven an SVT too, great little car.

I owned a SVT focus years ago. Sonic blue 3 door. Was a blast and easily kept up with most non turbo 4cyl out there.
Why did he stall? What's the difference in technique on a disc clutch from a standard standard?
Twin disk clutches grab much harder and much faster, takes some getting used to so you can creep around at slow speeds.
Why FSwerk turbo kit? Why not the Topspeed Zetec Turbo kit?
This was the development car that FSwerks used to own to design that kit.

The Driver's Perspective I from Cleveland OH. I really like Time Attack more than drag race.
Topspeed's fabrication is total shit. I bought the battery box/catch can from them and the mounts were on the wrong fucking side...it was a joke.
Is he running a rear sway bar? If so do you know what size? Thanks!
Not sure which sway bar but I know it is a BIG one. I'll ask the owner for you.
@@TheDriversPerspective appreciate it!
What ecu is in it??

2:30 FSWerks doesn't make a turbo kit for all Foci. I have a 2012 and they don't make one for it.
