That's such a nice remix of a beloved song! I have no idea how you could have done better. This is 👌

Thanks! I have to say I put more effort into this than I initially expected to, from the added and modified instrumentation to the extra chiptune sections at the end (which I had the idea of adding because I wanted to extend the remix). Also, thanks for subscribing, I appreciate it.

Improvement in EVERY video. That’s hard to maintain, but somehow, you manage to raise the bar every time!

Thanks, and while I don't think every video I make is objectively better than the previous ones, I do see a general pattern of improvement from month to month.
I think one thing that definitely helps in achieving that is to try new things often. For example, the last section of this Paint is my first time remixing a song in chiptune style, so it's another Mario Paint/remixing skill category I've started getting into. It also helps to go out of your way to try various instruments in varying ways to modify or to add to sections of the song. For example, you can try adding distortion guitar power chords to sections you think should have more energy to them.
As a side note, I've also noticed quite the improvement between your videos from spring and your late summer ones. For example, I think you've become much better at making a Paint's instrumentation work together. Keep up the good work!

I downloaded a whopping 3 GB SFZ sample library that's also public domain, and its name is VCSL. Since it's public domain, I decided making a soundfont out of some of its samples.
Here's what I have planned (answers may change soon. Instruments NOT listed here will be assigned percussion instruments, which can be just one or probably more than 9.)
    Mario: Italian harpsichord
    Yoshi: Baroque recorder
    Super Star: Glockenspiel
    Fire Flower: Saxello
    Gameboy: Vibraphone
    Dog: Kalimba
    Cat: Renaissance organ
    Pig: Ocarina (typical)
    Swan: Psaltery
    Face: Folk harp
    Plane: Psaltery (plucked)
    Car: Pipe organ
Heart: Didgeridoo (because the sample library doesn't have a bass guitar. This emits a pretty low sound too, so I think that'll work. Will play in staccato. The Shy Guy will play the long notes.)
    Coin: Upright piano
    Piranha Plant: Harmonica
Shy Guy: Didgeridoo Long Phrase (see Heart.)
    Luigi: Marimba
Peach: Wine glasses (I chose the fast release ones because the sustained ones are way too long.)
    Cape Feather: Ocarina (small)
    Goomba: Tenor saxophone
    Bob-omb: Tubular bells
    Spiny: Hand bells
    Berry: Xylophone
    3-UP Moon: Strumstick
    Yoshi Egg: Tubular glockenspiel
The sample library has a lot of percussion in it, so I will do my best to use most if not all percussion.

Edits: Putting regular psaltery on the plane icon, and then the folk harp on the swan icon. Face will now be even more percussion.

      Update again:
      - I'll change the coin icon's sound into a clavisynth.
      - I'll take out the recorder sound, put the ocarina (typical) on the Yoshi icon, remove strumstick, put the tubular glockenspiel on the cat icon, the 3-UP Moon will have the Renaissance organ sound, and put the regular psaltery sound on the Yoshi Egg, which effectively makes more room for percussion (the pig icon.)

Now that I think about it and found changes in my mind, I'll change up the instrument list:
      Mario: Italian harpsichord
      Yoshi: Ocarina (typical)
      Super Star: Glockenspiel
      Fire Flower: Saxello
      Gameboy: Vibraphone
      Dog: Ethnic xylophone
      Cat: Tubular glockenspiel
      Swan: Folk harp
      Plane: Psaltery (plucked)
Car: Pipe organ (samples are way too long.)
Heart: I apparently found some samples which are basically the lute sustains of an English harpsichord, so I might use the lute sustains for that, just make them very low in pitch.
      Coin: Handbells
      Piranha Plant: Harmonica
      Shy Guy: Psaltery (bowed)
      Luigi: Marimba
      Peach: Wine glasses
      Cape Feather: Ocarina (Small)
      Goomba: Tenor sax
      Bob-omb: Tubular bells
      Spiny: Kalimba
      Berry: Xylophone (regular)
      3-UP Moon: Renaissance organ
Yoshi Egg: I immediately regretted my decision of taking out the Baroque recorder sound, so I will bring it back for this instrument.
Every instrument not mentioned here: Percussion

I asked the owner of the samples library if I can make a download link for the soundfont, and he said yes because the samples are licensed under CC0 which means completely public domain.
