When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward. For there you have been, and there you will always long to return - Leonardo da Vinci. How much more then; those who've straddled such flight and have chosen to jump from between it's wings? ~11b4p 1/504 back in '74
I just went there and did the 3K foot glide..It Was Awesome! I very much want to become a pilot! Its got me! For this flight, you seem to have been in more of a vertical position rather than horizontal. How comfortable was that? Is the suspension set up just for that type of position? Thanks for posting!
The more vertical position is what beginners do for the first 5-7 flights. It is the position you land in and so until you have more experience, it seems they want to make it as easy (least number of new variables to include). Then they transition us to a moderately prone/horizontal position using a harness called a "knee hanger". This requires the pilot to shift from a standing position at launch, to a prone position while flying (like you flew on your 3k tandem experience), then back to a vertical position. It's not a hard transition but they want us novices to only have to integrate one new thing at a time. There are some good instructors at Lookout Mountain Flight Park👍
Nice flying! btw if that's a light camera like a gopro, you can put it anywhere on the crossbar, or even on the sprog, it won't effect anything. Here's a video of what that looks like watch?v=2QMdNHFHnn4 .

Launching without a hook-in check is a criminal launch.

How do you descend?
Move your weight to the front of the glider
@@perrinhamilton9219 No, that’s to speed it up.
Do you still do hang glider
I want to get back at it but it has been a while...
@@KnotthomeR I wish you could teach me but I'm a very poor young adult just trying to make a big impact in saving our planet
@@KnotthomeR - come on, Knott.... get back at it 🙂You know you want to! I'm up there regularly too
