Sounds fun :) Seeing how you would use Huckleberry as a magic user really caught my attention, since most males in magical girl can "possibly" get sidelined unless used as love interests or just flat out evil. (Tuxedo Mask vs any other super powered male) Was Sailor Moon or W.I.T.C.H. an inspiration for you? Also would Huck be the only boy in the group? Magical or not. Or would other boys be present like Plum Puddin from the early 80's version or a twin to the female Plum Puddin?
I love W.i.t.c.h., and I’m sure it influences me in most of the things I write, but I don’t think it or Sailor Moon were on my mind when writing this. Honestly, I think Avatar the Last Airbender was probably a bigger influence. Huck would be the only main male character, but I do want to have more guys in the overall cast. Thinking of bringing back the lemon twins for a start, but I’m not sure what else I might do.

I know you have a lot on your plate) I grew up watching Strawberry Shortcake up until they stopped showing Berry Bitty Adventures. I was a big fan of content targeted for little girls when I was a little boy growing up.
Pretty awesome concepts! I really like these kinds of cartoons where the characters seem kid-friendly but the plot is darker, similar to Sonic Underground. Also, the story concept reminds me of Magical Girl Site; where the characters have to survive and gather as many Allie’s as they can before a great catastrophe comes and ends their world as they know it.
There is this line from an episode of the 80's version I had on DVD as a kid where Blueberry says 'I plain forgot' I think it would be cute if they had that her say that every time she forgot something. Not every episode or anything,just occasionally. I like the idea u have for remaking the 2000's version. This idea could be a 3 part episode or a movie. I love this idea tho. And I think maybe there can be an episode where Strawberry is upset bc she is insecure. She sees the best in her friends and one day she goes house to house asking everyone to ask her friends to play but every one is busy with their own project. Maybe Huckleberry along with being the "stereotypical boy" sporty and stuff,he is also a musician. So at the end of that episode Huck and the others come over to Strawberry's to surprise her w/ their projects that are all for Strawberry,to cheer her up. And Huck sings "Beautiful you" maybe reworded slightly to fit the episode... Idk.

I would definitely love to see something like what you listed here, and the character seem very lovable as well!

I have a few ideas mainly because I realized I’d always wanted Strawberry Shortcake to have higher stakes when I was younger XD Okay, so you know how nature a really big part of the original series, like almost everyone has a garden and there’s nature everywhere. What if the big bad of the series was some kind of force that started killing the plants, call it something cool and mysterious like The Drought. No one knows who or what caused this, only that it’s ruining the world Not only does the world begin to look darker, but people’s livelihoods and maybe even food supply is slowly withering away. It gives the gang a true call to action. Strawberry and friends bring back the nature each episode, slowly restoring the world while The Drought gets more and more frustrated with them. Maybe Pieman and Grapes could act as the Team Rocket of the series, aka, bad guys but not the main big bad. I don’t know who The Drought would be caused by… I imagine it also being a kid, maybe Bramble something because it is a plant but it doesn’t need much sunlight or water to survive. It’s a malnourished looking kid covered in overgrown thorns and brambles that just needs some tlc In the end, Strawberry along with everyone else they met do a final battle and literally help Ivy ‘grow’ into a better person, sprouting flowers and turning colorful like the rest. And who knows? Maybe she wasn’t the true big bad, maybe she was just being manipulated by the true villain in the next season, whoever that may be.

Plum Pudding was originally created as a boy, but was changed to a girl later in the 80s after a period of her being missing. Thus, a lot of the fan base headcanons her to be a trans girl. The idea of her being trans could work super well, especially today, like imagine if in your reboot, Plum is revealed to be working for some evil villain who’s giving her something and they’ve made a “deal” she can’t get out of? Like you know Fairy godmother and Harold from Shrek? That kind of dynamic, plum used to be a boy, went off to find out who she was, found this person and made her a girl in exchange for a favour in the future, like maybe handing over the other kids with magic inside them to make the villain stronger, honestly if your looking for ideas for a season 2, that could be it.

8:28 As somebody who ships Wubbzy and Daizy, I think Strawberry and Huck could have, like, secret crushes on each other (if handled correctly). The thing is, I don't think that was even brought up in the OG 2003-07 Series. I think they planned to do it in BITBC (as suggested by the intro) but scrapped it for now.
This kinda hits hard for me, because around the time you posted this video, I had redesigned the Strawberry Shortcake characters myself. Between the way the characters vary in their color schemes and the multiple different incarnations of the franchise we've had over the years, it was kind of fun to put my own spin on them.
If I could reboot the series myself, I could go for what I like to call: MLPG4 treatment in which the show would still be aimed at young girls but now telling more elaborate stories and touching uptown dark themes more often. Because if you know me, you’ll see that cute/adorable things with intense stories are something I love (Like Cookie Run and Kirby) Also: I would have each of the characters be human children and have normal names in their civilian identity (Such as Strawberry’s real name being Rose or Rosita) and later gain their nicknames according to their favorite snack or pastry.
I would love in your version She also actually meets tangerine a torta and frosty puff In the original, they just show up out of nowhere like she met them before, but it never shows her meeting them in the show. I would love in your version. It shows an episode of her actually getting to know them and meet them. So that way, we get to know them more. Because they barely even showed frosty puff at all.
Strawberry shortcake was literally all my childhood lol but the new strawberry shortcake series is actually really good but I like this version as well I think it really fit the characters
I know that this is only a What If at the moment, but after going over this video time and time again, I will say for certain that, if ever made official, this would be one of the greatest reboots of all time. And dare I say it? This would be the G.O.A.T of Strawberry Shortcake. Again, although this is a What If, I could feel the love of the 2000's series and the history of the character herself in general. And with tender loving care, you found a way to make this idea just as, if not, more beloved then the version of Strawberry Shortcake most of us grew up with. And whether it's the cast helping others along the way, helping their character growth or stopping the evil schemes of the Peculiar Purple Warlock of Porcupine Peak, I look forward to seeing how this story continues and what new elements could await us. And yeah, it doesn't have to be a 9 season series to tell a good story, but I know that this world as well as many other stories that you make will continue to amaze us and keep us hyped for whatever comes next. Bravo
Honestly with all your character and plot ideas I think you’d genuinely enjoy the 2021 reboot. Sure it loses the iconic cottagecore aesthetic that made Strawberry Shortcake Strawberry Shortcake, but the episodes and characters really entertained me. Strawberry is literally word for word what you described, though the others went through some significant changes. Also Pie Man’s the villain and he’s fantastically hopeless.

And, actualy, I just though about it, and the 80's cartoon actualy had, not one, but two villains, so... you can use one of them as the villain of your version too!
I kinda like this idea of Strawberry Shortcake reboot. It plays more off of the magical aspects that were in the 2003 cartoon. An idea that would be cool to see is Peppermint Fizz becoming the 6th ranger of the Strawberry Gang. Maybe after being the secondary antagonist for a few episodes. In terms of seasons, season 1 could have 26 episodes and 2 and 3 would be half seasons (13 episodes). Edit: I watched a few scenes from the 2003 cartoon and never realized how many times Fairies have been used in it. So, making Strawberry and co. fairies makes a lot sense now.
Also question, there’s a general consensus in the fandom that because Plum was changed from a boy to a girl in the past so some believe that the character is trans, in current year is that touched on at all in your reboot?

I hadn’t originally planned on it, since their wings are more of a permanent thing, rather than something they just summon from time to time, but it does leave them feeling kinda lacklustre otherwise. Maybe some cute fairy outfits are needed…

If I could reboot the series myself, I could go for what I like to call: MLPG4 treatment in which the show would still be aimed at young girls but now telling more elaborate stories and touching uptown dark themes more often. Because if you know me, you’ll see that cute/adorable things with intense stories are something I love (Like Cookie Run and Kirby)
Also: I would have each of the characters be human children and have normal names in their civilian identity (Such as Strawberry’s real name being Rose or Rosita) and later gain their nicknames according to their favorite snack or pastry.
I would love in your version She also actually meets tangerine a torta and frosty puff In the original, they just show up out of nowhere like she met them before, but it never shows her meeting them in the show. I would love in your version. It shows an episode of her actually getting to know them and meet them. So that way, we get to know them more. Because they barely even showed frosty puff at all.

Strawberry shortcake was literally all my childhood lol but the new strawberry shortcake series is actually really good but I like this version as well I think it really fit the characters

I know that this is only a What If at the moment, but after going over this video time and time again, I will say for certain that, if ever made official, this would be one of the greatest reboots of all time. And dare I say it? This would be the G.O.A.T of Strawberry Shortcake. Again, although this is a What If, I could feel the love of the 2000's series and the history of the character herself in general. And with tender loving care, you found a way to make this idea just as, if not, more beloved then the version of Strawberry Shortcake most of us grew up with. And whether it's the cast helping others along the way, helping their character growth or stopping the evil schemes of the Peculiar Purple Warlock of Porcupine Peak, I look forward to seeing how this story continues and what new elements could await us. And yeah, it doesn't have to be a 9 season series to tell a good story, but I know that this world as well as many other stories that you make will continue to amaze us and keep us hyped for whatever comes next.

Honestly with all your character and plot ideas I think you’d genuinely enjoy the 2021 reboot. Sure it loses the iconic cottagecore aesthetic that made Strawberry Shortcake Strawberry Shortcake, but the episodes and characters really entertained me. Strawberry is literally word for word what you described, though the others went through some significant changes. Also Pie Man’s the villain and he’s fantastically hopeless.

And, actualy, I just though about it, and the 80's cartoon actualy had, not one, but two villains, so... you can use one of them as the villain of your version too!

I kinda like this idea of Strawberry Shortcake reboot. It plays more off of the magical aspects that were in the 2003 cartoon. An idea that would be cool to see is Peppermint Fizz becoming the 6th ranger of the Strawberry Gang. Maybe after being the secondary antagonist for a few episodes. In terms of seasons, season 1 could have 26 episodes and 2 and 3 would be half seasons (13 episodes).
Edit: I watched a few scenes from the 2003 cartoon and never realized how many times Fairies have been used in it. So, making Strawberry and co. fairies makes a lot sense now.

I hadn’t originally planned on it, since their wings are more of a permanent thing, rather than something they just summon from time to time, but it does leave them feeling kinda lacklustre otherwise. Maybe some cute fairy outfits are needed…
