Hello all you newcomers to the channel. I just wanna say if you are watching this and have never watched me before, I apoligize for it sounding like I lisp. I don't. I had braces and at the time I had these weird things on the back of my teeth that made it hard to talk. Edited on September 11th, 2022: A new and updated version will be out after the 2nd expansion for FH5 has released. So it will likely be next year before this is updated.
Every game is its own experience to be honest. Each game has its own vibe with the earlier games feeling a bit more genuine and made for car people where the later games feel more made for a wider audience. If I could blend FH3 and FH5 I would be one happy dude for sure. FH3 was my first Horizon game and i was hooked ever since. I agree man, FH3 is simply one of the best games of the 2010s 🔥🔥🔥
I have played every game and got them all the moment they came out, I loved fh4 so much don’t know why but that’s my number 1, the fh1 is super nostalgic as I was addicted to it for 6 months then played online with my mates when I was 7 years old on the Xbox 360 🤣
One thing not mentioned that makes FH2 stand out is sound design decision, that made cars sound sooooo good. To put is simply, they mixed chase cam sounds to feel closer to cockpit sounds, so you hear engine mostly, not exhaust, even when playing in chase cam.
Not touching on the expansion but I think 2 and 3 are hands down the best, 4 is my least favorite in all honesty, the only reason 5 isn't in front of 4 for me is because a lack of traffic makes it feel less real and 5 is still missing a handful of my favorite cars. Other than that I like the seasons better in 5 and I like the map better in 5. Snow isn't fun when it isn't optional and Britain is boring as hell.
I know I am super late. Thank you for this video. While I don't necessarily agree with everything (like for me Forza Horizon 1 is the best one simply for it's music(for me it had the best music tracks in series) and it's for me really unique, but still beautiful location. I don't really think it's because of nostalgia, since I played Forza 2 before 1 and after I beat 1 I went to play 4(which I also really enjoyed (more than the 5th Horizon) I have yet to play Horizon 3, but I wanted to look at this because I was wondering if I should get just the basic game or also the DLC's.
-The FNF Expansion would've been fine if it was more fleshed out. -The Lego expansion sounded cool on paper, but it was poorly executed. -Fortune Island is just Storm Island with a different name and a few bells and whistles. -Storm island is ok, the only thing I like about it is that the storm that comes in every now and then will make the races more intense, but the map was too small in my opinion. -No comment about FH4 (yet :) ). -FH1 is a masterpiece, and anyone that disagrees is a glue sniffer. FH5 (in my opinion) is just FH4, but instead of getting stabbed by British people, the game takes place in Mexico. The game doesn't offer anything that is new that much, some of the cars you have to unlock through wheel spins or auctions, The map is not interesting. There are like two parts of the map that I like and that is it, and the races felt soulless and it felt like you didn't need to do them. -FH2 is a masterpiece that took everything from the first game and made it better. -as much I don't like FH3, I do like Blizzard Mountain a lot for what it was. It was pushing things to the limit and adding new things to the table that the Forza community hasn't seen before. -again, as much as I don't like FH3, I do like The Hotwheels DLC since it was really fun and adding new things to the table and doesn't feel like some DLC that no one would care about. -FH3 (in my opinion) is what led to the series downfall and appeals to people that never played a racing game in their life. That's why I don't like it that much, and the game felt like my hand was being held all the way through the game. The progression wasn't interesting at all and being the horizon boss felt like you were on vacation rather than trying to be #1. And the only good thing about the map is Surfers Paradise. I wanted to like this game but I just couldn't
to be fair i cannot agree more with the fh3 statements it is such a fun game, eventho i played it last year only cause i got it for like 2 bucks it was amazing, it really felt like no other forza horizon game ive played before, it combines a perfect map with so many fun things to do an honestly, im suprised that after all these years not even fh5 managed to be as good as fh3 my only disagreing point is with the lego expansion, i honestly understand you and i get why ppl didnt like it but i find it more fun than the depressing fortune island expansion, though this is your opinion and i respect it man nice vid

Forza horizon 3, even though it’s unsupported. It’s honestly it’s just incomprehensible how good the game is. You’ll also save some money in it because it’s older.
I'll always defend FH1 as the best. I needed something after stop liking need for speed and when I took a chance and pop in FH1 I instantly loved it. It's crazy some of yall started at FH3 but I understand, got to start somewhere.
This is almost outdated by 2 years dude lol I get what you're saying but this was in the first few months of this game's lifespan. We hadn't seen the absolute peak of bs from this game yet. I don't think this way anymore.
After genious simulation in 2012 was born FH2012.I buy it inmidiately, but in that time i played Fm3 and masterpice FM4,and i dont like Horizon because i was sick of open world games.I give my friend DVD,and he told me 2 days later "I dont sleep" this is something special.I rememeber he tells me,to start game from zero on other profile and we play maybe 5-6hrs.He is smoker but ashtray was empty. And after all years FH1 is my N01.Fh2 on X360 was so bad,i have it and i force me to play it after 20min i give up.I have version for Xone and when i have time I give her chance on Xone.I like better fh4 than 5,but I agree Fh3 is something special, but original game from 2012 and Motosport 2 3 4 was reason to keep X360 and wheel! Cheers
Here's my list (just my opinion) 12: FH1 Rally 11: FH2 F&F 10: FH3 Full game 9: FH4 Lego 8: FH4 Full game 7: FH2 Storm Island 6: FH3 Blizzard Mountain 5: FH1 Full game 4: FH4 Fortune Island 3: FH5 Full game 2: FH3 Hot Wheels 1: FH2 Full game
I only started playing horizon since 2017 so I only have some to rank. 5. Forza Horizon 4: we all know engine sounds, no ending, a cringe expansion, and more 4 Fortune island. Well I enjoyed those credits :D 3 Forza Horizon 5. A good game, though the houses were halved and I've never unlocked a car from festival playlist, neither in horizon 4. 2 Horizon 3 hot wheels. Very creative, everybody loves tracks in the air, childish enough for kids but nostalgic enough for adults. 1. Forza Horizon 3. Kinda the peak in my opinion, we have great diversity, modern city, A ton of new features like drone mode, and like 200 more cars then Horizon 2. (I didn't play 2 btw)
1 : forza horizon 2 2 : forza horizon 3 3 : forza horizon 4 : forza horizon 4 i didn't played fh 5 yet i haven't done all the expantions i loved the storm island DLC from fh 2 , i loved the hot wheels DLC from FH 3 , i didn't liked the blizzard montain DLC from FH 3 and thanks finaly someone saying that forza horizon 4 sucks i will be hypocrite saying that it's a garbage (it's not) i spend a lit of days on the game but i has a lot of problem and because of that i'm sill not interessed by horizon 5 should i try it ?
this list is accurate, i would put fh1 at number 1 and fh3 at number two because i love the boss battles that was in them. other than that, i got the same list as you do lmao
Only got into horizon in 2021 for FH5. I did have fh2 360 version, though. I got horizon 2 and 3 discs, since they’re delisted. But I’m unable to get any of the expansions for those games. All that being said, I only have a few to rank: 5: Forza Horizon 2 (360) - Do I even have to explain? 4: Forza Horizon 4 - poorly done map, just not memorable (imo), worst highway in whole series, too much rural countryside, not enough populated areas, houses are a disappointment, emotes and clothes should never have been added, and the story, there is none. The current online lobby needs to be removed, in favor of the old, which was much better imo, and it has the worst airfield in the series. One final thing, it feels too much like 5, I say this because I originally came from 5. 3: Forza Horizon 5 - The map is stunningly beautiful, and being incredibly diverse. But similar to horizon 4 there is too much rural area and countryside, and not enough populated areas, just like horizon 4. Just like 4, there shouldn’t be emotes or clothes, they’re a waste. Houses are no better. Game is very buggy, convoys are terrible, and drivatars need to be removed, in favor of actual AI again. Horizon 5 does have a much better highway though, and it has an actual story, despite the fact that I personally don’t like, and it also has a bigger car list. I also think it has a much better airstrip then horizon 4. Like horizon 4, it caters too much to multiplayer, and not enough to single player. It also is made for the casual player, rather than hardcore players and car enthusiasts, like it once did. 2: Forza Horizon 3 - Horizon 3 has a very diverse and pretty map, yet I can’t stress this enough, it has similar problems to 4 and 5 that I mentioned, but not as bad though. I think it has a great main city, and Byron bay is well done in my opinion. Cruising through the outback doesn’t get old, and I love Ormiston Gorge. It has a campaign, and I enjoy it, because it feels like more of a grind then 4 and 5 (not as much as 2 though), because you have to earn a lot of fans to get the final showcase. Showcases were implemented quite well I think, but the fact that you didn’t get to keep the car from it turned me away a bit. It’s airport is very well done, and is one of my favorites of the series, but not my number one (I like my airports). It has a decent highway, though not the best. I’m more of a single player guy, and like I said earlier, I think it caters more towards online rather than single player, and is more casual. Though it’s not as bad as 4 and 5. Horizon 1 and 2 were made for the hard core fans and car enthusiasts while 4 and 5 were made for casual players, and a wider audience, specifically younger people if I must say. Horizon 3 though is more in the middle, probably leaning a little more towards 4 and 5 if I must be honest. 1: Forza Horizon 2 - Horizon 2 is just my favorite game of the series. The map is amazing, it has a very good balance between rural countryside, and populated areas, unlike the later games. Nice is my favorite main city of the series, Sisteron is such a cute town in France, driving through San Giovanni at night is quite amazing imo, castelletto is a beautiful coastal town that never gets old. Montellino is a great area with its rural back roads and the incredible estate. Saint Martin is also a nice touch. The docks are very nice place to just mess around for a while, and the coastal road from nice to castelletto is probably my favorite stretch of tarmac in the series. It has one of the best car lists in the series in my opinion, going for quality over quantity. Horizon has easily the best highway in horizon history, and the best airport too. Finally, it has an actual sense of progression. Having to work your way up to the horizon finale, and win it. The game doesn’t just throw money and cars at you. I do have a few critiques though. Forza horizon 2 did add drivatars and wheelspins, both of which, were not good additions.

I completely agree with your list. Fh3 is just obscenely good, I don’t have words for how amazing that game is.
I'm playing Forza Horizon 3 right now, it's incredible. What a shame the DLC is no longer available!
