Im a haole boy and I miss those days too. I remember one time in Kona as a kid a younger uncle calling me into a wave and I chickened out. I thought he was going to punch me in the face but he just gave me scoldings. Back then you'd be told go or no and you knew not to disrespect your elders, ever.
The Kauai boys and the Wolfpack held it down after da hui👊🏾 nothing but respect to Rico and the boys for keeping that place in check. Idk if it will ever be run as cherry as it used to be 🤙🏾
