Bini was formed by ABS-CBN and Star Music management. They selected the girls thru a grand audition in the whole Philippines on 2018. After building the final 8, the group entered a 2 years training before they released their pre-debut song Da Coconut on 2020. Because of pandemic, they were not given the attention a group need to be famous. They also think of quiting because their management was shutdown. But QUITING was never on their choices. Fast forward 2024, they hit 6M monthly listeners on spotify from 100k on January 2024. They also hit 1M in both FaceBook and RUclips. Its mind blowing that even dogs and babies like their music. They were called the Nation's Girl Group Bini.

some not-so-necessary context (lol):
mikhaiah is the ship name of Mikha (red-haired girl) and Aiah (the first girl to sing on the ending/layered vocals part), and i made a deal of it mostly because they were once the ship with the biggest and most vocal fanbase. i say "once" because Mikhaiah fans became incredibly toxic to the point that whenever one of the two livestreams with another member, Mikhaiah fans would dismiss the other member and ask for either Mikha or Aiah.
this made Mikha and Aiah interact less and less on-cam. 2024 and and they're widely considered a "lubog" (sunken) ship. even the members themselves joke about it, tweeting and saying "mikhaiah lubog."
nevertheless, the two are obviously still very close (they once went on a trip outside the country with just the two of them), but they're trying to lessen their interaction when the cameras roll.

Yay! BINI is great. I'm very new to them myself but I like what I've seen. You will probably also love G22 (another P-Pop girl group with phenomenal vocals) and SB19 (boy group with phenomenal vocals). As far as I know, they are singing in Tagalog which is the most common language spoken in the Philippines and I agree, it is a wonderful language for singing, very lyrical sounding. And the lower register voices (which I prefer) seems to be more popular here vs. kpop that favours the really high registers. Hope to see more P-Pop reactions!

One thing to take note about PPOP and Filipino culture in general is we LOVE quality (live) vocals.
If you ever dive into Bini again, I would highly recommend their song Lagi because they have a dance and vocal practice for it, showcasing their stability on stage since PPOP is known for having to sing live when performing.
For more vocals, highly recommend their song Huwag Muna Tayo Umuwi. I would suggest watching the MV first then watch the Wish 107.5 Bus Performance where they sang it live on a radio station bus.
For more PPOP, highly recommend the girl group G22. For boy groups, i'd recommend SB19 or ALAMAT.
